Different game today. One of the only old school players that would be riding the pine just in the right place at the right time. I’m a lifelong laker fan the bulls snacking us was the beginning of us seeing holes in magics game. Now his lifestyle drops him low on my list as a human being. Couldn’t even raise a boy to be a man. Something happened to that kid. Magic sure has a lot of money

to me, Magic is better than Lebrum.

As a huge Celtics fan growing up in the 80s, my favorite player, of course, was and still is Larry Bird. But even though the Lakers were the enemy and I basically hated them, my #2 favorite player was (and still is) Magic Johnson! The rivalry between these two great players and great men breathed new life to the NBA and to the sport of basketball in general and paved the way for a super-talented southern kid to enter and take it to even bigger heights. It also made me a fan of basketball for ever. It really warms my heart to have seen the rivalry between Larry Legend and Magic Johnson blossom into a relationship of huge respect and eventually a great friendship as well!

Magic has been the only athlete ever, who made me want to watch sports of any kind. I watched all the Lakers games when he was playing. Caitlin Clark is the second athlete to make me want to watch sports. I haven't missed a Fever game this season and likely never will, for as long as she's playing. She has eyes in the back of her head, like Magic did. She makes her whole team better, like he did. She's unselfish, like he was. She's AMAZING and pure magic, like he was.

Knicks fan here, but when Magic burst onto the scene I became a Lakers fan while he played. No other player in any sport ever made me betray any of my teams like that. Not Jordan, not Kobe, not Shaq, not Lebron, not Tom Brady, Ohtani, Patrick Mahomes, Bo Jackson, NOBODY. That dude was just pure Magic on the court. IMO, most entertaining player to ever play in any sport. He, along with Emmitt Smith are my GOATs.
