A couple just decided to build a nest right over my front door. Albeit wild, they've slowly grown used to me. The father even fed the chick's in front of me just now. They don't exactly get up close to me but definitely closer than the average wild bird. As long as I'm sitting they seem more comfortable with me. Being that this was the first time I ever played this video out loud outside, not shortly after was when the male fed the chick's. So I think it helped me bond further with my new feral friends.

There's a pair of these and lots of others that found a bowl of bird food I put out on my balcony at my apartment complex.

I'm rehabbing an injured house finch with a badly broken wing. He may end up more as a toad than a bird, hops everywhere. He loves this site, gets him singing.

For the last few years we have had nests in out hanging fern on out deck. Same family of parents come back in the spring & have 3 of four chicks. There are 3 right now in the newest nest. They don't even flinch when i get a new picture almost daily. These birds look like they pray when they bow their head. So adorable!

This bird's song just fills me with nostalgia. These were always the birds that would wake me up when the weather was getting warmer and summer break was on its way or here. To me, this sounds like, "time to get up and play in the sun in the backyard!"

I have a male and female that live in an arborvitae next to my porch with babies I hear recently I'm located in southern Ohio.

I'm a novice birdwatcher with a pretty good knowledge of birds, and like many who posted here, had no idea what this noisy little bird was! The menagerie of songs it sings, *at the top of its lungs,* is amazing! They start my day off in such a pleasant way, and this video *perfectly* captures it! Thanks!

A house finch is making a large nest on a shelf in my back porch. It talk to me when I'm sitting out there.

I’ve had one for years now and call him little Red - He has 4 babies with his female and just noticed they have a 2 me nest at opposite end on my covered porch - he always wills remove a robins nest so I’d better go check

I’m hoping this call helps us bring them closer to the house. There are three pairs that visit the feeders in the backyard but none of our friends have found the window bird feeder we put close to the house.

These lovely little birds are abundant throughout Vancouver where I live and very few people here seem to know they exist. They begin to sing more frequently in early January, already announcing spring, like a triumphant anthem against the dark of winter and a vision of the coming light of spring.

I think the photo is of a Cassin's finch. The house finch has a brown cap, is slightly more slender, and has subtler wing colors.

this is my favorite bird call I hear every summer in my area of Michigan and I never used to know what bird it was. It's these cuties, and they arent actually native here but have been here for hundreds of years and I'm glad they are. The call always reminds me of summer and good feelings.

I found a baby bird or more my cat did. It was late at night so I couldn’t bring it anywhere. It flat out refused to eat and just slept the entire time I joked with my Dad that we should play bird noises but then I played this and it’s head instantly shot up and it started begging for food

Southern California. We have house finches all over our neighborhood. Their song sounds very conversational to me, melodic rambling with a bit of a stammer. My favorite part of their talk is a drawn "Tweee-tweeew" at the end of a long, rapid sentence. They almost twirl the "tweeew" at the end. It is so distinct and they don't say it often. I wonder if it's a regional thing. It's satisfying on the ear. Sometimes I listen to their song just to catch those notes.

I had one in a tree next door outside my workshop. It sounded like he was preaching a sermon, with a question, then another question, then a long statement. He was at it all day. Thanks for the ID.

The one right outside my window likes to sing at 4 in the morning and it always has a very shrill last note that sounds like "EEEEE!". Still not able to appreciate it...

I've heard them for so long and couldn't identify them and now I know why, they're teeny tiny. How do they get so much sound from such a little body? Their lungs can't be much bigger than my thumb. Thank you for posting.

Oh my gosh yes for the past month I have had this pretty bird landing on my wreath on my front door singing the most beautiful song...I FINALLY know what kind of bird this is makes my day .I feel honored..😊❤ LOVE ALL my birds

I'm playing this in front of my cat and she's going nuts looking all over the place, mostly up, trying to figure out where the bird is. 10/10 would recommend for cat entertainment

These birds are the most sexiest birds. And God says the sparrow does not even clothe himself or spin yard to clothe himself. He just sings. Just amazing at God's creation. I have these wee ones around my home in Los Angeles, Ca, and they are a playful lot. I also love the bushtits. They are sweet but the name is not so positive.
