I do indeed remember seeing that video you mentioned, and for sure. Glad I did catch it, I definitely didn’t see it in the video when I was recording but by the crack of that thunder, I was hoping I had a bolt. Anyhow, luckily, we are having a strong cold front come through dropping our temperatures, but sadly no storms with it or even rain. I might try to make some wind videos just for the hell of it, at least we will have comfy weather this week. Definitely no rain showing up here for the foreseeable future.

Anyways....amazing on that awesomed lightning video from 7/4/24...exactly 1 year to the day of one of my loudest single Tstorm vidoes...from 7/4/23....made...ever since I first joined TH-cam on 7/16/07....and of course...with my NEW Sprandom camcorder(s) ordered online via amazon/Prime...Excellent move that you kept on re-posting that incredible nonstop lightning sow from now exactly 3 months ago today, heeheeee

Oh yeah, that was a decent weekend for me. My favorite video is that one from Saturday afternoon. I got another lightning show that passed to my northeast to upload, but that’s pretty much it, we’re going back into a nasty drought here

Oh no doubt, yeah definitely shook the iPad and I’m pretty sure it hit a tree up at the top of my street. I was out in that metal building you can see on the left side of the screen, so you can imagine how I felt. Lmao

Oh yeah, that tree was split in half. Nothing like this video, but I’m pretty proud of my latest upload as well, I started my camera before I left and got that nice Complete thunderstorm audio. I think there was a decent clap around the 33 minute mark.

Indeed, getting rid of those certainly did open your sky up, I would love to get rid of that Elm tree above our big garage outback. Glad you enjoyed this one, I will admit personally this is one of my more favorite videos I have done in a long time, as I got the storm complete from the first rumble to the last and one clip. Wish that damn air conditioner didn’t come on, too bad I didn’t turn it up before I left but oh well. I laid down for a nap yesterday and played this video on loop through my Soundsystem, it was awesome! And also hope you get those storms, I will definitely be ready for any new uploads, I’m not sure when I will get the video onto TH-cam as I want to stretch my uploading out, but I got a little storm up to my north last night and miss me to the east but good Lord lightning was wild, an 18 minute video of nonstop flashes and bolts with good thunder audio to, I really hope we get some late season action like we did that nice November storm of 2022 this year, I think I have seen the most lightning this year I have ever seen in one season in my life at this point.

BTW..Jason....exactly 5 years ago today, FRI 9/27/19...your own incredible big big late-evening/nighttimed WFROPA-based Tstorms you got on Y/T and I also PUT RIGHT ONTO AUDIOTAPE...!!! I certainly hear you on those noisy ACs on while audio/videoing Tstorms....as when I audiotaped a rumbly Tstorm in central PA on 7/31/79... .the AC at this hotel lodge there...did drown out the thunder some... Anyways.....take your own time on whatever new uploads you have yet to do......to indeed stretch it out..((BTW....it is raining hard right now at my own place....as I am doing this ''Email'' 430am FRI 9/27/24...)))....anyways...I gotta say...in terms of videoing LIGHTNING..you have scored so big this 2024-Tstorm season...and I/we are so happy for you, Jason...and indeed....those late-season Tstorms are a real treat...as for me...11/27/19((very day before your 19th birthday)) I caught/uploaded a nice closeby CG bolt/thundercrash..!!! Well this Wednesday October 9, morning as I finally find this reply, I have linked the main part of that storm above, certainly I do hate those air-conditioning units when filming, and those pesky trees too, so right you are getting rid of those definitely help your view out majorly, and man oh man how I wish we would get some rain here! Our last meaningful rainfall was back on September 23 and we are going to be in this major drought for another couple weeks. Incredibly the next day after the storm video I have put above we had snow that I made a short clip of the next day. I hope at least for me we have a lot of snow this winter, but I know that probably won’t happen. I know you don’t want it and understandably so so I will gladly take it for you if I can.

Indeed, one of the major changes being that pesky pine tree, also that neighbor that kept yelling to you, or at least I assume it was a neighbor was hilarious. I definitely remember seeing that last video you pointed out, as for my uploading, the next three honestly will be pretty big ones from Saturday afternoon and again Saturday night we got hit twice. Afternoon, more like around 11 AM, I had running to do Saturday so just buy a fluke chance I set the camera up before I left and came back to one doozy of a video. That is what’s coming next. Where I was going, was out to lease summit off to my east, and on the way back boy you could see the storm, wish I would’ve took some video of it on my phone on the highway, but I didn’t.

This next upload coming is a big storm that came a little bit after this rain, I was lucky to get it on film and I can’t wait to share it.

this was just a small little cell here, but glad I got something out of it anyways. Definitely stay tuned for any new uploads as my active pattern should start tonight. Indeed, the September 27 thunderstorms, I’ll never forget up that forecast sitting in my college dorm I’m thinking that there was no way Columbia would get hit by any of it and I need to get the fuck home ASAP, and boy did that show big-time as I got all those videos in Columbia didn’t get a drop of rain.

Exactly, that was the first time I’ve heard something like that for a durational amount of time.

Definitely, if that AC wasn’t on more if it would’ve been picked up, decent chances should be coming back for me this weekend, super excited for it

Indeed, it looks like I have isolated chances starting late tonight and going through Friday evening, the more widespread stuff appears to be starting some point Friday night lasting through Sunday, also Sunday will Mark eight years since I started my TH-cam, so definitely hoping to get some action to commemorate that like I did last year, not sure if you remember my nice thunderstorm videos from September 22, 2023, but I imagine you do.

TYSVVVM Jason for the very nice duo-VCRp's here.... and indeed...TYSVM for the wonderful noticing the 10th anniversary as to when I first began doing my wonderful technique of having put those awesomed TH-cam-videos directly onto audiotape...and as of right now..I got well over 100 such audiotapes directly from TH-cam-Tstorm videos...Awesome that you have been doing TH-cam-Tstorm videoings since 2016..IIRC...from 5/8/16... and I am not sure if I remember what big Tstorms video uploads that you got back on 9/22/23...just one year ago...but I can always scroll back on your many many TH-cam-Tstorm video uploads to find it, heeheee..and play it/comment.... BTW..I first joined TH-cam on 7/16/07...and my oldest video upload dates back to 11/23/07 ((contrails))..however...all of my pre-2007-Tstorm video uploadings...were of the ''secondhand nature''.. which explains for my Tstorm video uploads dating way back to 7/28/89 and so on.... Indeed, the static technique you are using is quite interesting, I can only imagine how much time that takes. Guessing you only do it before the really big thunder claps. I will probably be putting out the other videos from this Sunday and Monday.

Amazing as to how those love to say out loud: ''hey...it's lightning and thundering outside..let's all then jump onto our own motorcycles and rev up our own noisy engines and then..run up and down the streets of those trying to audio/videotape those TH-cam-worthy Tstorms''...Anyways...Jason..that 4/15/06-Tstorm I got on audio((I used 4 audio CTRs to audiotape...) and my older VHSc camcorder to videotape..that was the noisiest April Tstorm I ever got on audiotape since way back on 4/18/78...while down in St Augustine FLA....but of course...your own 4/17/19-awesomed Tstorm videos...still tops mine quite a bit... Anyways...exactly 1 year ago today, 9/13/23...severe Tstorms/tornadoes were prowling only some 15 to 25 miles to my NW and N....all were broadcased LIVE...on TV..it was scary...!

Exactly I have never experienced something like this either until the making of this video, I definitely thought that was a tornado or something at first. It was really incredible how slow those things were moving, I bet if I wasn’t around the forest you wouldn’t have been able to hear that noise nearly as good than if I were in a city. And on the backside of the storm, we had a bunch of rain and thunder while the sun was out, I think I got some footage of it if memory serves that will be what’s going up next.

I am not sure if you ever get TH-cam-notifications of others' replies to your own initial comments like to Jason Sellon's own awesomed Tstorm videos.....but I did mention to you from BEFORE...that you would love to see my own 7/4/23-Tstorm video..the 21-minute video...as I got some extremely loud thunderclaps...all very clear on audio....after the 8-minute mark....my noisiest single Tstorm on TH-cam since way back on 7/28/15.....

@@LuvsTstormTapes yes I do get notified about replies. I just took a look at that video, wow. That thing sounded like a thunderstorm that we would get in Illinois or Arkansas. I say Illinois because, I actually moved to Arkansas from Illinois, more specifically, southern Illinois. that storm was a beast. Kind of reminded me of the storm that we had a couple of years ago, during the night of July 26, 2022. A heavy rain event and historic flash flooding event unfolded across St. Louis, with some locations recording up to 10 1/2 inches of rain in four hours. however, the most crazy thing about this event to me at least, was a little block in the middle of it, when a cell produced a vivid cloud to ground lightning barrage right over my location. There was one point where within five seconds of each other, two bolts sounded like they struck down at the ground pretty much in the exact same location. The cracks are literally one right behind the other. you hear one crack happen, with the boom, and then a second later another boom.

@@LuvsTstormTapes yes, it is indeed on my channel. I would encourage you to check out the entire storm. As I said, that thing produced a bucket load of rain and a ton of time, not, mainly under three hours. I mean, seriously, it starts, in part one, with just some distant rumbles of thunder, and the silence of the creatures as it seemed like everything knew what was coming. everything except for me. I was particularly picturing just another thunderstorm, and then, we got one for the record books. Officially at Lambert St. Louis International Airport, the total rainfall there was about 8 1/2 inches. It shattered the old daily record of just over 6 inches, which I’ve been standing by the way for over 50 years. scientist called the flood of St. Louis, on that day, a once in 1000 year flood event.
