Don't bend your upper hand , do body work and leg press ,take long breath and pedal long ,it can give you more energy and more speed 😁
❤❤❤
Normandy, 1944
This reasoning makes no sense. Lose power because your legs have more room to move? What? How about gain power because your hips are able to have a greater range of motion with your outside leg forward and you can lock yourself in place and not worry about sliding too far back on the bench
Nice explanation , but I feel that your hand needs to be further down the shaft, nearer to the blade.
This stroke technique has been proven to not be effective. She is reaching way past her foot. There is no power in the stroke at that point. Her body is so far off balance that the strain is on the lower back not lats. My opinion
But How do dey avoid having cramps on one side ? An unbalanced repetitive action is bound to cause cramps.
is top arm drive not a feature of your stroke?
That was completely ridiculous. and I was paddling stroke. (with Raymond, 1st row)

First
now in 3D please ;)
Good idea to setup where the food would be - ha ha! Perfect music for the actions. Neil!
Looking at the route that you guys took from the dock to marker 21 sure brings back a lot of memories. Just how many times have we gone through that route!
Good going, team! Love the extra drama in the award ceremony there. Hahaha.
The WTF? made me lol quite loudly and the victory music made me T.T. Good job Lightwave! I had a ton of fun cheering you guys on from the beach.
Go Wave!
damnit, right-side #9! come to practice more often!
Was Agus just blindly yelling "timing, timing, timing, ...." open loop for the entire latter half of the race?!? If so, it's a good thing I didn't hear him in the back or else I would have chuck my paddle at him!
I suspect it's more because everyone has a different form and less inconsistent rhythm. Either way, we better solve it soon, only two more races left in the span of 3 months!
I wonder if the caterpillar is caused by some other factor, despite the best efforts put forth by the team to stay in synch. At some point we need to stop, step back, and try to look at the problem from a different perspective...
It's too bad that after all this time, we still have a caterpillar.
Not just "will", we "did" finish!
C'mon Jess, have faith in your teammates. We WILL finish it! :)
Banana Fusion is my friend's fave team because of the Banana part!
What a jackass marshall. Could do well to take a lesson from Vancouver's marshaling technique & attitude!
Whatever team passed us was paddling pretty quickly and powerfully. Beginning looked a bit weak - I've seen us do more powerful beginnings before, so I know we can get out of the gates and get a lead better. Middle part - when Katherine wasn't "drumming" - lagged a bit, and timing off. By end, you can see the timing was a bit distracted in places. We had the lead for quite a while, but the end the speed and power is needed, it looks like.
That was good! A bit of a lag around 2:00, but picked up a bit at 2:25 just before the end, and all were in sync. Seems to make a difference when drummer is calling out or not. The best part - Julie's cheer!
Yes, they do! You have to fight the gag reflex when it starts trickling into the throat :-)
Sorry to say but the choice of music is a bit boring
Justin's impressive when stuffing his cheeks! Don't the marshmallows melt in the mouth?
Shark!!!
fantastic camera work...what kind of equipment was used for this?
timing wasn't great...boo
timing for us was way off at the end...
@lannyhsu It's those high school kids, man. Oh wait, we (Ligthwave) were the ones who set the pace of the boat :O
@lannyhsu Thankfully, he is okay. He suffers from asthma and sometimes has difficulties breathing while paddling at that fast pace.
Did the paddler in row 3 on the left injure himself? Hope he's alright =/
95 spm.. smoking!
Great video and awesome race! How do you get the speed chart and counter on the same video screen? What hardware are you guys using for that? Pretty damn cool!
what happened to the start? did the vid not capture the non-standard start?
GO WAVES!!!
