In most martial arts movies, Hwang Jang Lee is a good villain. There are some movies in which he is a hero, but there are few. Most movies in which Hwang Jang Lee is a villain, and villains are his best roles.

I grew up watching Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen's movie. Even tho Donnie Yen was more of a bad guy from, I remember, as a kid. The fight between Donnie and Li, in once upon china 2 , was awesome.

Great Review. I watched this over Holiday Break on Amazon Prime thanks to you. Enjoyed the movie and seeing those stars when they were younger. Not sure if you take requests - but can you please someday review "Incredible Kung-Fu Mission" aka "Kung-Fu Commandos" starring John Liu. I remember watching it as a kid and it was fun. Keep up the good work.

In order to exact your revenge on something you have to first know what purpose you have to seek revenge in the first place. Considering that the protagonist has no bloody clue as to who he is, how in the holy mother of God is he supposed to know why he would need to get revenge for something? He's trying to discover himself in the most boring and mind numbing way possible, in a movie based on an action fighting game series. Am I the only one who sees something incredibly wrong with this premise?

That what's a different world a better world today's garbage modern moronic mythical audience that seemingly will be the wave of stupidity could never compare but we cannot time travel and and keep and undo everything because let's face it with the way this day and age is this will be an era that would have never existed should such a thing ever had existed Donald Trump being elected all over again not re-elected now shows that the end is near Jesus should be returning to this world any day now at this point any second to finally free especially this country of the satanic grasp that it is forever caught in in the lines of stupidity

Been looking for this film forever, seen it 20 something years go. I honestly thought maybe it was a dream. I thought visually it looks good, but the story isn't as good as I remember it when I was child. Everything in it is very rushed. Otherwise, the story had potential, which makes me really sad to see stories with potential being ruined only because they were rushed.

Each episode highlights a character. I was lucky to be born in 1970, so when everything was released on Manga Video I bought it all. Until it all became a bit samey. I just watched this on You Tube and it is still great. The English dub is awesome and so is the music. So cool.

I don’t know much about the series but it looks like a tribute movie from the small snippets I’ve seen in the original. And from a Buddhist perspective zatoichi seems to be the justice of karma. Almost every one that is killed is warned at some point and the opportunity is there to break the cycle but the negative seeds of karma are deeper in some characters than others. Just an observation. I’m not sure what he was going for.

Great Episode, Sonny Chiba is one of my favorite actors growing up. I was truly Blessed to have met him twice and got his autograph and a photo with him. He has done many films and I try to get as many as I can. Although he is known for the streetfighter movies he has done other great work. The Yakuza Deka series was Good. Thanks for posting this.

The camera work is neat and the locations are iconic of Hong Kong, especially the city shots and anything at night. I found the pacing at the beginning was rough but eventually found its stride before that glorious final shootout. Chow Yun-Fat's wearing black coats, smoking and being a cool badass. Perfect

I remember watching this film on tv when I was about eight years old and it scared me stupid. Watched it again years later and I've loved it ever since. The phrase " it's in the trees, it's coming" was used by Kate bush at the beginning of Hounds of love.

Saw it in a cinema when it came out and I was 12. One of the first modern horror films I'd seen, I found it terrifying. If I was camping anywhere and saw this "just a mutant bear" around, I'd never go camping again! Also thought I'd mention that Armand Assante was in this!

I saw it upon its release in 1979 and again on video rental a couple of times. It suffers a bit from the fact that the monster mayhem i held off until the last half hour. The monster was played by Kevin Peter Hall, who would later play the predator.

So this is my review of this review. This reviewer has no real knack for reviewing movies or at the very least doesn't have a good grasp on plot structure. He has a very monotone way of talking and is so repetitive in just repeating the same thing over and over. He literally starts the review just saying over and over how it's a problem with expecting one thing and finding out the movie is something you didn't expect...which is your fault...not the movies. He mentions he was expecting a Rosemary's baby movie...which is stupid since it never claims to be that at all. The movie was always a creature feature about the mutation of nature. I really like this movie which is a classic from early days of horror and has a very unique take on a creature made from man's mistakes. He seems to think Talia Shire is supposed to be a bigger part of the movie than she was...like she was meant to be an Ellen Ripley character or something....which is not ever been the case. He also doesn't seem to comprehend the scenes with the effected animals leading up to seeing the main creature which set up the cause of the mutations,, so I question if he is even paying attention. So basically, I'm not surprised that he has almost no views or likes because the review is lackluster and boring and gives no real insight into the movie. But that's my review on this review. I'd say don't waste your time and I'll see you next review.
