Project Life Week 22 Layout Process Video

Here is a process video for week 22 of my Project Life Album for 2022. I used the Ali Edwards story by the month kit for June and a few other bits and pieces from her other collections. I had a lot of pictures to include this week and it didn't come without a bit of a hassle. I used a 3 by 12 pocket page and a few photo flips to help tell all of this week's stories.

A little Ali Edwards, a little Becky Higgins and a little Studio Calico to finish a double-page spread for week 21 of my 2022 album. I run into a few snags this week as I worked away on the layout, but nothing the fuse tool and a little rearranging couldn't fix.
12x12 Mixed Media Scrapbooking Layout

Here is a quick process video for a simple 12x12 layout perfect for highlight a cluster of small pictures. I used bits and pieces I had left over from other kits and collections and am happy with the final product. The background is a mixture of VB Art Crayons and Distress Oxide Inks, a few stickers for embellishing and a little journalling to complete the layout. Quick easy!

This week's double-page spread came together with Vicki Boutin's collections: Sweet Rush and Color Study. The fun colours were the perfect match for my floral pictures and brought the pages to life. I was so excited to jump into the Vicki Boutin Collections with all of their fun colours. In this process video, I use a bit of mixed media to create a colourful base to highlight a single picture. I wasn't motivated about pocket pages but after watching your videos I realized you can add so many fun and interactive elements! I will try with some pages!
I felt the exact same way. I thought pocket pages would be limiting, but now that I've had some practice I prefer them! I especially love them for vacation pics when you have so much to document. Let me know how you make out if you try a few pages!! 💜

Exactly! Some of it isn't "pretty" but it is all a part of our story! These are my favourite memories to document!
so lovely! I enjoyed every bit of your layouts! Your style is beautiful and it is so REAL and focuses on the everyday, which I love so much. As a stamper, don't give up on stamping! just use a smaller acrylic blocks (apple pie memories or lawn fawn round acrylic blocks are amazing) and the stamping will be smoother. I promise it is worth practicing, I use stamping in my PL albums all the time and stamping is very helpful for me when I need a little something to add to my journaling. If you need help with that, let me know. I also have a stamping video on my channel if you want to see. Been said, the layouts are beautiful and the stories are amazing! so good to see you captured those moments forever :) can't wait to see your next video!

Hi Molove! I like to use a bit of everything. On my desk, for easy access, I use the Click edition from Project Life, it's a core kit with lots of black and white cards. I like to use Ali Edwards cards, but I also make a lot of 3x4 cards using 12x12 cardstock in patterns I like the most. A few chipboard pieces or a sticker or 2 and you have yourself a bunch of journaling cards from scraps!
Sorry if I missed this but how did you make the January pocket? Is it a 4 x 12 size? Or is there a page protector out there with that size? I really love that idea of having a huge title for a title page! Love your style! New subby here!

Some of my favourite! I never know what I am going to go when I sit down to complete the spread... the vellum worked out to be a great solution for a very colourful assortment of pics and embellishments. ❤️
Some cedar wood and lattice can be used to create a beautiful trellis that also doubles as a privacy fence. If your backyard seems too open and you want a bit of privacy from neighbors

HELLO, I'm so happy to come across your videos, I am a new subby. I so love the way you do your 12 inch albums, giving yourself the freedom to still do 12 inch lo's along side the pocket pages, and adding in all the different size pockets, adding flip-flaps too, I love it. I do my albums with exact same approach, I feel it does give more of a creative interesting all over look. I am still scrappin' my 2020-2021, as well as trying to keep up with my 2022 album, catching up slowly. I would love for you to do a video on how to print with your picture mate printer, printing different size and photo collages, I have the same printer but shied away from it, and have not used it yet, but would love too; could you share how you connect your photo device and printer and print photos this would be muchly appreciated. Caroline, switching to the hybrid method was honestly what helped me get back into scrapbooking. I had completely left it for a few years. The other motivator for me was the convenience of the printer! Honestly, a must-have for me. I have the app on my phone and print everything for my PL album straight from there. I will work on showing my process in a video! Happy Scrapping! 💕

Love this! I would love to see how you are doing it from the get go… Are you doing it from start to finish in one day, choosing printing and creating? Do you have albums on your phone?
Hi Kim, I almost always do a spread from start to finish. I am not a huge planner and I do everything from my phone. I start by printing my pictures. I then lay them out to plan how to coordinate the colours and then I gather supplies. I try not to fuss too much. If I am feeling really behind, I will select pictures for my favourites folder so the pics are at least a bit easier to find. I will attempt to make a video from start to finish. I'm a newbie with lots left to learn! Thanks for joining me!

Kim, I was stuck for almost 4 years and just started picking it back up. The key was eliminating most of my supplies to only my favourite products so I didn't feel overwhelmed. I found it much easier to start once I didn't feel like I was drowning in supplies. You also have to give yourself permission to enjoy this hobby and not look at it as though every memory has to be documented! Just do what you like. I figured some was better than none. ❤️ 💕
