An engine of its stature, power, and importance needs a chime whistle. Maybe a 6 inch Crosby 3 chime.

Great Review - I have the exact train set and very pleased with it and glad I bought it when I did because the prices have gone through the roof. I am surprised Farish have not brought out another set with maybe an A4 locomotive with Gresley teak carriages - that would be nice and we could pretend we are on the East Coast main line travelling from Kings Cross to Edinburgh.lol

How do you do the higher number function numbers with the controller they provide

My wife and I were on it on Saturday. We're in the last carriage in front of the banker. We were in Premier dining class. I was allowed up on the footplate before we set off from York, which was amazing! A truly fantastic day!

Layout looks great

with the price of these train sets they should pop in at least four carriages. N gauge is ideal for limited space and fantastic if you have space for an 8' x 4' board. Frarish have always been spot on for detail and in my opinion much better than Hornby though in recent years they have improved.
