Mussels from Sea to Plate
Our mussels are carefully cultivated in the pristine seas off the Scottish west coast and Shetland. Grown on ropes suspended in the tidal currents, our delicious mussels are plump and sweet-tasting.
Their swimming larvae attach themselves naturally to ropes suspended in the water from buoys.
Over the next three years the mussels draw naturally by feeding in the rich planktonic tidal flows.
Once they have reached the right size, the ropes are hauled aboard a harvesting vessel and the mussels are carefully collected.
The mussels are taken by chilled transport to our state-of-the-art processing facility in central Scotland where they are cleaned and graded.
From there, they make their way to Wright Brothers Wholesale at Billingsgate, and on to over 500 London restaurants, including our own!

On the southwestern coast of France in Charente-Maritime, the unique dish éclade de moules, mussels cooked under pine needles, has a fascinating origin. Local mussel fishermen, inspired by their coastal surroundings, used dry pine needles to cook mussels, infusing them with a distinctive smoky flavour. This method, initially practical for the fishing community, transformed into a beloved campfi...

200 degree celsius?
Zapach jak z przetwórni ryb 😎
This looks nice and all, thanks for the info, but, rapeseed oil and table salt ? I think a lot of people that are interested in eating fish are aware that there are healthier ingredients to use.
Parchment paper in a BBQ for a extended time is bad news
You wanna learn how to shuck oysters 🦪 go down to the Big Easy. They will teach you the right way. No imposters allowed Cooyon!
Nor bad, but she completely skips over an essential part of the technique: making sure you're not "shredding" the oyster inside, by maintaining proper knife angle and scraping along the top. If you don't take that step seriously, you'll have a "scrambled" oyster inside. Better vid here: th-cam.com/video/BXIDj0_zcaY/w-d-xo.html
Looks delicious! Thank you for sharing ❤
Wtf 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 someone got payed for this 😂😂😂😂
I love how the mackerel magically changes from WHOLE to Boneless Butterflied at 0:19. No recipe or instructions provided, and blazingly obvious omission of steps. Epic fail, from a culinary DiY standpoint. -1 👎 and derecommended
Pretentious tossers!

Looks so yum
How much that chit cost? 😮
Looks so good!! Gonna have to make this
hello, just a quick question, can i eat the oysters right after i buy it from the fish market? do i need to wash them?
😍
I don’t think this was the best way to grill mackerel. We can see how the skin stuck to the grill. We can see how you removed the parchment paper, or it was burned. Even the corn was burnt. You can do better!

Orribile
aren't you risking your life each time you eat a raw oyster? i heard that 100 ppl die every year from eating them in usa.
You should try the East Hampton Shucking tool, it's the safest and easiest way to open oysters. You dont hold down the oyster down with your hand. It keeps your hand away from the knife. You won't hurt yourself.
It's not that dangerous if you are careful. No need for gadgets.
I like shallots and red wine vinegar
This is the best way to open difficult oysters like Bretagne and Utah Beach
But they dont taste good at all
are oysters cooked?
you can but most of the time they are eaten raw. Also, when you eat them, they are alive up until the moment you chew and consume them, however they are not sentient beings since they don't have a nervous system so they don't really feel pain or fear etc. Think of them as similar to plants but as marine wildlife.
@@ryuhayabusa5 right makes sense. i love oysters.
Hey Ben and Robbin, i ordered your the Ultimate Fruits de Mer package, where is the oyster knife it was missing??
The effort sure as hell pays off. That must be so delicious.
So useful! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

9:00 a.m. and I am drooling for oysters. Nice job, mates.
Very nice way to finish at hospital with a bloody hand!
Poor.
Yum! I was in town yesterday and didn't buy any and now I'm hungry for oysters😢
Mrs. Crocombe will definitely tell these men are poor since they dont have turbot kettle.
There's a "Robin Wright Ben" joke in here somewhere.
Pro's don't butt shuck
Great work on shucking the oyster BUT what a waste, u've let nearly all the liquor flow away
Sadly, it would be pretty risky to do that in Southern California but it sure did look good!
why so?

Great video! Really enjoyed it!
This was actually so interesting! Keep up the work guys ❤
40minutes in the oven, but how hot should be the oven? Please let me know. Thanks. 🎉
He says 160•c fan!
Don’t know why the lemons have to be fried as it will be heated in the oven and release its juice to moisten the fish
At Wright Brothers, our love for oysters is a core part of who we are, instilled by our founders, Ben and Robin, and embraced by our incredible team. This passion isn't just confined to our workspace; we've made it our mission to share it with our customers, right from the comfort of their homes, and it's been nothing short of momentous. The recent online oyster masterclass with Robin was a huge success, and the enthusiasm of our guests truly touched our hearts. In Robin's family kitchen, we took a deep dive into the captivating world of oysters-dispelling myths, understanding health benefits, and exploring their sustainable growth process… followed by lots of shucking and indulging! For Robin hosting these masterclasses hold a special significance. They serve as a reminder of the Wright Brothers’ mission - to share the inherent beauty of oysters and build a community of seafood lovers. It's a safe place where curiosity thrives, new tastes are explored, and the world is educated about the true sustainability of these shellfish. The engagement and curiosity from guests fuel our commitment to spreading knowledge and nurturing a profound appreciation for these exquisite Bivalve mollusks. 👀 Interested in more dates?
