HI, yes there is. "select all your photos you want to watermark" --> Bach queue manager --> control panel --> decorate --> add watermark (T*) and upload your watermark and start the process.

@@kimskaugvoll5499 Thanks Kim! I will download it and give it a test. Scanning thousands of family old photos as early as the 1920s up through roughly 1980 or a bit later. Can you apply both the internal metadata copyright statement that you show in the video as well as the watermark copyright at essentially the same time when you process?

I do not believe it can do it based of content, unless you have it in the meta-data. and have set up your rules that way. but it will easily organize based of date:time and File:format. I hope that helps

You would need to set your filters to show it that way. if you have not already you would need to arrange you directories that way first, unless you just want your photo files that way without a directory-hierarchy, I believe.

I’m not 100% sure, I don’t use any adobe products, but pretty Shute you could copy/export the mask and then import it to PS-AI and might be able to use that to get the ant-selections like that.

that is a good question, and honestly I do not know. my guess is that in the association there is an error that makes it read the same file more than twice. but I could be wrong. I'm will have to make a Win 11 VM and install it again to see if i could figure it out. and right now I just don't have the time (new job)

In the beginning when I first jumped over to Linux/EndeavourOS it did not work right for me, so I just set the scaling to X1.25 and call it good. I got just to it pretty fast.

sorry for the late reply, I have not been online for a while. it will show thumbnails and display the .afphoto files. setting > Views > Mime Types > additional image file extentions > .afphoto ||| hope that helps

@@kimskaugvoll5499 Yes, now the Affinity file is occupying a position in the Thumbnail view. But still .... only a frame with AFPHOTO inside is shown - not a thumbnail of the image. Further a double-click should open a preview from the generated database. But no such exists.This result is not better than what is available with Bridge (which is free too). To me - and others I think - it's of interest to know what hides under the thumbnails in the Thumbnail view. That would be the idea with a organizer. Do you have further suggestions for settings than the above?

I just want to add furthermore: I have no pictures on my laptop because I saved them on a external homeclodeserver (NAS) (WD my Cloud Mirror). But I can't import the media data in that programm (digikam) because the folder is not visible - also a shortcut on desktop to the external server is not visible in digikam. MYbe it's not working to use digikam when my media data is located on a external server?

Yes you can search for more labels, go to the search tab on the left hand side -> new advanced search->add search group, and make it search any criteria

you should be able to use external Drives and servers, I use external drives. just make sure you have you databases pointed to the right places

They have a separate vignette filter, which makes it fast and easy to make a vignette. I like the gradient tool for its pwr full features compared to the once you mention. And if you set up macros for the gradients you use the most it speeds up the workflow a lot. It has become even better in AP2

I’m not sure I understand. Cryptomator makes a container, so you need to use your pwd to open that container before accessing your files. Is that what you are doing?

Hey, the file names themselves are not encrypted, but the container you store the files in is. The container also splits itself into multiple containers for lack of a better word. That helps strengthen the encryption.

Yes but no, it’s har to explain. You need to have (I might get this wrong, but I’m sure I will be corrected if I do) the 8mb bios-grub is open unencrypted because the computer needs access to something that tells it what to do. It’s a hook “ is it booting a os or just a backup drive etc.” but your 512mb boot partition and your /(root) /home partition is fully encrypted. No one is able to actually open up your boot-loader or / /home to make changes to them without knowing your your passphrase. If you try to encrypt the 8mb partition you will not be able to boot after.

Hey, Thank you for the tip! I’ve tried both borg and restic as well but I found in my case that kopia is simpler to use and faster. I know fastness of a backup is not important really, but I have yet to manage to brake a backup with kopia, and I have tried both involuntarily and on purpose. Lol

That sounds easily doable, I use it to sync stuff between Linux, android, and iOS, for some stuff that I cannot use rclone for. With regards to upnote I have never used it so I’m not sure with the webUI

@@kimskaugvoll5499 Thx. Not so concerned about any web UI, just that Cryptomator respects the sync changes so that whichever note taking app updates accordingly.

@@ThePharaohsCat as long as you open the Cryptomator container and work on the file directly from said container it gets updated automatically, syncthing is also great but required you to be on the same wifi(easiest) to sync

@@kimskaugvoll5499 Yes have Syncthing but don't use. Primary need is encryption. Second is global access - hence cloud. Use case on the road and have my data easily accessible and up to date via cloud. Syncthing is limited in that it's tethered to network.

@@ThePharaohsCat you could use syncthing remote as well, but you would need to set up a small homelab and then be able to remote into it, it gets a little complicated, I have not tried it myself yet, but I will in the future. for your usecase I would highly recommend Cryptomator. rclone is a little more work, you would have to sync manually after each edit. I'll think you'll be happy with cryptomator!

Yeah, I could not stand Adobes subscription style and advertising. So I started looking for an alternative, I found Digikam and have not looked back yet. It's a little learning curve but it's worth it to get away from Adobe.
