we are short in the midfield, can he be coached to play there?
Thinking the same, Timber could also be a good DM. Im sure Arteta knows all of this and trust that he will do whats best for the team and the situation. Happy days🙏
Zinny should move into midfield to deputise for Odegard, while Calafiori , Timbre and Tomiyasu rotate at LB. In fact the 3 can play LB and LCB, while Tomi and Timbre can play across the back 4 and in Defensive Midfield. Kiwior should go; he's not assertive or tenacious enough for EPL and Leroy Sane dismantled him during Bayern match. I think Arteta should experiment Calafiori and Timbre at DM; their defensive tenacity and football ball moving ability could be revolutionary to the team's evolution this season. But for Arsenal to win the EPL, Arteta needs 5 players in and 13 out. 5 IN: R. Calafiori, M. Merino, V.Gyokeres, P, Neto, and E. Eze . OUT 13: Elneney, Cedric, Lokonga, Tavares, Kiwior, Tierny, E S Rowe, Nketiah, Reiss, Marquinho, Patino, Norton-Cuffy and Ramsdale. Veira should be given this year to prove himself

Timber on the right Cali on the left is worth a try but sometimes during tge season thing happen, maybe unjuries or form where these scenarios will be needed. Will wait and see how things pan out...good to have all these options🙏

Jurrien Timber is a better than Ben White both as a RB & CB - period. I believe in Arteta meritocratic system. The best performer in every position MUST start to get results and take us up another level than we did last season to win trophies 🏆🏆🏆 this season.

My humble opinion is that Zinni needs to relinquish the left back role and be used solely in midfield. Zinchenko is a defensive liability but can serve us well as a ball handler in midfield.

I really agree with you...he is also of a good age I believe he would be our 2nd best option in left center mid
My humble opinion is that we should sell zinchenco while we still can get a good salary for him because I do think that kiwior is better than zinni in the league last year. Just my opinion 🤷 😊
@user-gv9ux4qc1e agree, Kiwior is a better defender, but the original comment is about moving to midfield. Zinny would serve better there. There must be a reason why Arteta isn't considering him there for the left 8. No idea what that is though....

From what i've seen of simmons - as you said v similar to Odegarrd, can he score those wonder goals and is he enough of an x factor? Also given how arteta coaches, can players have the freedom to provide those x-factor moments?
Very good point, the system does restrict our star players like Saka for example, from having that freedom sometimes. I’d like to see him come inside more next season. Arteta is still a young coach and needs to develop in that sense.
