Riquewihr is a small, romantic medieval village inside thick walls and surrounded by mountains and the most famous vineyards of Alsace.
The landmark of this doubly fortified village is the 25-meter Dolder Gate Tower, built in the 13th century.
The main street itself has numerous shops selling souvenirs, cookies, macarons, wine, etc
Go for a walk on the slope right next to the village to admire the vineyards and the landscape.
Riquewihr is a wonderful combination of history, culture, scenery, food and wine and is one of the most delightful places to visit in the region.
