Yeah, him not having Venusaur completely messed with my head. Went through the whole game with the Rival having a water Pokémon and then for some reason my brain decides it's the grass one right at the very end!

Thank you! I've watched a bunch of those sorts of videos in the past but I'm not good at retaining the information, more just enjoy the process they go through. There's a lot I've forgotten from them. I think I did alright all things considered but I'm certain there are more optimal ways of doing this run! I've got another run in the works and I think it might make use of the badge boost but I'm going to try to not abuse it. I would rather try other strats before going for it. I also have no idea how to use it to its full effect, so I'm sure I'll screw it up somehow 😅

They weren't that interesting and it was mostly me being silent as my brain went into overdrive 😅 Even speeding them up would have been dull I reckon!

I only remember there being two outfits on Mean Streets. One is the watch belt, which you can get from a case next to the save point near Father's Bunker (7:30 in Episode 3 of this series) and Chipmunk you can get after finishing the game (44:00 in Episode 7). Hopefully that helps!

It's a fair point! I think in my head it's kinda like taking the overly easy route and a bit cheap. I mean, it isn't but my brain wants to do the levels without it. Funny how your mind sometimes makes you feel that way about things in games.

@@trunktheshiny Yea, I recently learned there are different types of gamers. I've met a girl that is into games and we decided to play togeather. I was "let's progress as fast as possible and see different things the game has to offer" and she was "we repeat a level until we get 100%". Dun dun dun xD I simply find that I often skip parts of the video because you try over and over again instead of using the slomo. But I'd rather not because I like the commentary ;d It is just a suggestion.

And I still like the video! It's really entertaining and funny. Keep them coming!

It really makes me think of Jump King. That game was all about any error causing you to fall all the way back down but there are a couple of bits that feel like soft checkpoints. That's how this feels with the save rooms. Still makes you feel like you're climbing a tower but also gives you a moment of rest and respite so you know you won't go all the way back down again (unless you want to)

I can understand that. It can feel a little demoralising for that to happen, especially if the last area was a bit tricky to get out of. It reminds me a little of Jump King, though Jump King is about the high difficulty. I'd love to see the dev make another game like this with some tweaks. This would make sense as a tweak.

@@trunktheshiny Yeah, it's my own personal bias to be fair. I have an allergy to replaying the same area multiple times, it's the reason why I also hate soulslike games. I'm just not a fan of the concept. When I finish an area, I want that are to be done and move to something new and different, having to replay it over and over again, always cuts me off from the game.

I've actually done a playthrough of that version on his channel. It's interesting seeing how different all of these games are.

The rocket launcher stuff has generally been really fun! I've had a blast with the whole game.

It's a very interesting concept. I'm quite looking forward to seeing what the final game looks like!

So far I'm having a blast seeing all the bugs that it has hahah

Finished the video and I really love the feedback you provided about it, I will make sure the next update includes all the issues you mentioned and much more improvements about the level designs in which players WILL be getting stuck because of the lack of visual clues. Thank you :)

I can understand that. I've quite enjoyed this second act and the new challenges that are presented, but I can certainly see how it wouldn't be everyone's vibe!

@@trunktheshiny While I didn't enjoy it as much as the vibe on act 1, I did finish most routes on act 2. Well except for some routes on the last 2 mountains lol
