If you heat up the blade it takes the bluing better. Not working level hot. Maybe 100 degrees. But make sure you’re working in a well vented area at that point.

Every time I lost something at home. My wonderful wife helps me finding by tell me it’s likely where I put it down. Love the hammer.

I notice how the face of the hammers are peened. They have been used before! Probably several thousands of times !! Black smithing is almost a lost art. I have been told the key is getting your tempering correct! Those belt sanders are time savers..... That is a good looking knife!! Thanks for the video sir!

Overall, nice video! I just wish that you added some commentary to talk about what you are doing and why, since this was labeled as a beginner knife making video. Without the commentary, a beginner might not understand what you are doing, or why. Again though, great video I really enjoyed it.
