I’m planning on doing this journey the next time I go to New Zealand. I went to Auckland last year and it was fun but I felt I could do so much more stuff if I took the train across the country instead of just staying in Auckland. This looks like an amazing trip!

The Cafe car in the NZ trains, is 100 times better than any Amtrak cafe car ,their food choices are really terrible.
