The hybrid apparently kicks in for acceleration and highway passing. The Japan TH-camr “Dogan” Has the solio.

I was looking at one of these in Nagaoka, very nice and definitely on my list to consider when I need a car there. I looked into importing a 4WD one to Australia in 2021, very cheap through the auctions but to get from A to B plus onroad licensing made it not worth it and I bought a Pajero instead. I think this would be good in J, not too big not too small.

I've rented a Probox hybrid a couple of times, both times doing about 500kms for about 3700 Y I like hybrids.....In laws rented a Spacia over on Sado Isand off the coast of Niigata 2 months ago. My 13yo niece said she didn't like it because the rear seat was uncomfortable for her.
