I freaking hate when parents bring their crying babies to the movie theater, even a kids movie that the baby won't even remember! Parents did this so often when I was a kid and even I got annoyed. Like bro there are just places you don't bring babies! (movie theaters, restaurants, and especially not airplanes. No one wants to hear your crying baby!)

You can't convert currency and compare. Your salary would be way in excess of what you were earning and the amenities, infrastructure, health care will be way better. Not perfect but better than what you came from. You're being naiive

I'm myself an immigrant from Eastern Europe, I lived in the UK in the last 15 years and I can confirm these things as true. Especially talking about the last 2 years the situation has gone rapidly downhill with the living costs. Now some people talking in the video obviosly have high standards or they live in London. I've always lived in shared houses to reduce costs, I'm based in central England. These are two different worlds - London and the rest of the UK. I've heard many Brits wouldn't even imagine moving to London, others live in rented properties half an hour or so on train outside London (Luton for example, a lot more affordable). In my opinion it's worth moving out from Africa if you are: 1. A rich student. 2. Married to somebody who lives here. 3. Have a high income profession/qualification such as medical doctor, engineer, researcher/scientist, but in that case most probably you would already have a decent living standard in your home country.

Great video! It is extremely expensive here, but the opportunities are endless also. It isn't worth it outside of London, but then I might be biased 😃

Let's be realistic here. The video you're showing about Africa shows zero development. You cannot talk about Africa being better while representing the poorer part of our continent in the video. It's just like someone saying the US is cool while showing videos of the drug and homeless infested areas of the US. I don't get the point of your video. Why are you showing the poor part of Kenya and complaining about the UK???

German here. I know about a similar law for truck drivers here, as they even have special technology in their drivers cockpit to ensure they only drive the allowed hours. And they will get heavily fined (do not know the sum or the additional penalties) if they exceed the limit.

It's astounding to me how parents will tell childfree people that we're somehow selfish, but those same parents regularly dump their kids into anyone's lap when they need food, money, babysitting, discipline, etc. My mom and sister did this with me ALL the time growing up until I was sleep deprived, had my savings drained, and my car worn down, yet they both wonder why I'm 38 and childfree!
