Thanks for showing the video. I’ve traced my family back to Deeping Saint James in 1720. Unfortunately that is where the trail goes cold. Interesting to see the landscape and where they would have shopped and wandered around. Maybe even spent a night in the lock up.🤣 I I believe they were farmers in the area before my G.G.G. Grandfather moved to Jamaica.
Great. Whenever I feel nostalgic for Deeping I can watch this. I used to live in the house (was once a butchers) on the corner to the left of The Cross and went to the school on the right of The Cross in the mid fifties. The bells at 10' were a surprise for a silent film! Don N.
