So basically only one masjid was built here and no one demolished these temples. People themselves constructed houses which were demolished and new construction made by the govt. Ganga was already visible from Dashahwamedh ghat. Earlier also we used to visit in these temples albeit through slightly cramped streets. What was the net gain to the aam janta?

If 40 temples were discovered, there has to have been an idol in each of them. Wonder what happened to them? Probably broken or shipped to some country as antiques.

Where r the muslims look our culture.....

It's horrible what the in-vaders did to such an incredible place ! These hidden temples could be at least a 1000 years old ! What was the need for these inva-ders to come all the way to places of worship and destroy them !!
