Which tripod did you end up using? looking at the flower pattern it looks a lot like the TC40 top of the ZWO tripod, but I guess it needs a mount where it actually goes into the top?

Tanks for your first impressions. I didn't catch your issues with the mount seat. What was the problem? Any fotos of your session to show? I still don't know if 150i or am5n is the way to go owning an asiair.

I bought mine at the end of July. To get the guiding to work I had to install a Firmware update, apart from that it has worked great, and yes it is quite, very quite. I was on the point of buying a ZWO AM3 but decided to wait a little longer for this mount to be released. I have not been disappointed.

Pro Documentation Tip: The Sky-Watcher global website is useless. You'll have FAR better luck getting support docs and user manuals from the Sky-Watcher USA site.

May I ask what aperture your scope is - I have a similar looking Newt 10 inch at f/4 - appreciated the review - answered many of my questions - I have half an eye on this mount.

Did your mount have 3/8-16 threads or 5/16-16? I gather there may be a manufacturing issue as they are all supposed to be 3/8-16 and it would be helpful to know your experience.

I'm amazed you can't purchase US standard bolts in UK. I would've mailed you a couple of bolts from here in the US. All the hardware stores here carry metric and SAE. I'm amazed that all this stuff is made in China why isn't it all metric? My AVX mount is metric yet the AM5 base thread is SAE. I'm interested in the 150I for my C8 SCT, I waiting for some reviews of the guiding with the 150i and a SCT. What is the weight of your rig?

Very nice mate ,have you thought about off axis guiding . There is usually mirror flop in reflectors which your guide scope will not see . I use an oag on a f8 refractor and see guide stars no probs .Clear skys mate

A 30mm svbony guide scope is too short a focal length for this scope. You need to focus better as the image was blurry. Keep at it 👍.

Hey I love the pallet observatory idea! They're free, strong and last years if treated properly! I would suggest maybe just covering the outside of the observatory walls with thick Visqeen plastic sheets for rain and weather proofing, that would seem to me to be the cheapest option? As for the roof, I'd suggest something mega simple, to keep costs and complexity down the a bare minimum. I look forward to seeing if you do actually give it a go or not! Your M27 is beautiful! I read in the comments you mentioning the awful weather in uk lately. Well up here in Liverpool, we've had, by my count, just 12 cloud free nights ALL YEAR!! It's been driving me nuts! LOL. That said, the weather up here in NW England is set to be clear tonight and tomorrow night so I'm desperately hoping the forecasts are correct! Clear Skies, Wes, Liverpool.

Hi. Nice video! I just buyed this camera guider thanks to your video. I don't have a monture, robot etc.. I have only my telescope Celestron 127/1000 StarSense + 2x barlow. Hopefully will get good images :) I know witouth a guider mount will be harder and not so great images because I can t follow the objects automatically expecially for video/photos+ probably can t see live trough P.C./Laptop but still I think is a big upgrade from my Motorola G14 mobile phone hehe :) Greetings from Romania and by the way, great song you got there, I remember it from Arrival and maybe Interstellar movie:)

Hi! good vídeo. I have one 100i for a 2 days and i notice that the autohome don't works exacty, a error of about 6 degrees for DEC. Skywatcher say me thats is normal and need to put -6 offset value in autohome for may unit. Do you thing this is normal? Your mount has this issue? Thanks!!
