My name is Larry Buckets and I do A LOT of water changes! Between the company, Everybody Aquatic LLC, the fish club, reefkeeping, Aquascaping and my personal life and career I've got a lot going on. These are my Aquarium vlogs and how-to's from the point of view of an Aquarium Service Technician & business owner. We'll be building my business from the ground up & on camera along with all the shows, competitions and club meets a long the way! Breaking out of the matrix, one fish tank at a time.

Just have lots of plants they will consume what the algae needs 👍
Its mean, it turn to bicarbonate?
I don’t think so, it does raise the ph but I think if it was bicarbonate it would dissolve easier. Not sure what it is but finicky Sulawesi shrimp, especially wild ones, seem to do best with this mineral
This video is amazing. Truly no one else has ever given these tips in any video I’ve seen. Subscribed!
@@onlywei thank you! 🙏 really appreciate it 😊
It’s for pushing that tiny reset button all electronics have
Thank you very much for sharing
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Did Troy from cichlid bros win his bout?
No, it was a good fight but Zac Summers from SC Fishkeeping ended up winning
How do I put one of those on me.. this alge is itchy.
I think they have creams for that!!
I cleaned my tank glass and I think my snail got sad it had nothing to nibble on 😢
😅 I usually leave a spot for them in cases like that
That's actually recommended for you Not to do since its traps benefiting bacteria under forcing it to become Nitrates and gasses that Could be harmful to the tank.. but it is Your tank, so you do you ig.
Never had that issue, I’m sure it’s possible to create anaerobic bacteria and hydrogen sulfide gasses if you were to create a deep sand bed and block oxygen from getting in but 1-2” deep sand in a tank has never caused this, appreciate the tip tho, thank you 🙏
LOL let me guess, a corporation that is getting rich selling you equipment also recommended that you have a filter and heater and…….
@EverybodyAquatic not saying Simply having a deep sandbed will do that but covering a lot of organic waste with sand (Though I've never encountered this issue either just thought it would be something to mention as i have heard it recommended..)
Wouldn't this just act as sand cap, containing the nutrients in the soil for the plants instead of leeching into the water column?
@@BrodysBettas in theory yes but the fear a lot of people have is that the waste can build up gases under the sand that will then rise and expel out and that those bubbles could kill your fish. I’ve never had this happen and the instances that I’ve heard of it happening the people say a bubble floated up and directly into a fish. As this is an extremely unlikely scenario it’s not something I worry about. I also remove waste when doing water changes so there isn’t much to bury, this was just adding some sand to the tank bc over time the roots of plants were becoming exposed
Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I just subscribed to yours! And thank you for this recap video. I was wondering how this event went and who won and did a google search. Up you came. Got my answer and found a new channel :)
Awesome thank you! I’m actually subscribed to you too bc I used to be the face of another channel owned by a local fish store that doesn’t exist anymore and you and I commented back and forth a few times last year, good to see and hear from ya again and love the videos!
Joey lost.
Where do you get these?
@@cef8156 are you asking where you get a tank this size? Typically they are custom made by a company like us or others, most pre-made tanks only go up to a size of about 220 gallons or so
Good video. Keep it up!
Thank you!!! I really appreciate that 🙏🙏
Joey lost and not fair..

Why are you even mentioning Joey👎 Rod of predatory fins is the hero he is the king Joey is a bottle, do you even know these people? Doesn’t seem so
At no point in this video did I state that I know them ✌️
@@EverybodyAquatic I don’t even know why I had a rant I think I had too much to drink apologies ☺️
😂😂 all good man no worries
We all wanted to see joey get smashed. Lucas was half his size. Zero respect gained. 🤡 🤡🤡
At that point it's time to pull a reverse Noah's Ark
Maybe 27 file fish will do the trick
@@EverybodyAquatic I'd evac and sterilize the tank at that point, why even spend that much
Nothing like watching Joey beat up a nerd.
😅 aren’t we all nerds if we’re THIS into fish tanks?
@@EverybodyAquatic no I mean like LRB is half his size. Mainly in muscle mass 😂
@@EvilxYardxGnomeyeah I mean seein him go up against Rod woulda def been a show
Small space
Yes, 2 gallon. The guppy is back with his friends in a 10 gallon now, this was just for the show, it’ll probably just stay as a shrimp tank in the future
What beautiful fish in a beautiful tank!
@@hopeflynn3930 thank you!! Building a scape they wouldn’t dig up was the hard part lol
@@EverybodyAquatic well you did a wonderful job! 😊
Thanks again! More to come 🙌
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you! 🙏 next year we’re going for 1st lol
The other fish from finding nemo lol
@@willfultrain6779 hippo tang! When we upgrade the other reef tank I would love to do that
@willfultrain6779 royal gramma is a cheap easy fish from finding Nemo cleaner shrimp for French dude only problems is star fish and puffers aren't very reef safe
Get him a bubblle anemonie cleaner shrimp and more live rock then some snails and hermit crabs for cleanup crew. Also get an auto top off. If you keep all that alive for awhile then look at more fish
All good ideas thanks! this tank is plumbed into another, bigger soft coral dominant tank as 1 system
Look at the poor guy waiting to push it over again
He’s probably bored that’s why he did it give his something to push over that pops back up lol
@@jimmiejay8196 😅 you might be onto something here 🧐
I will always call it a conk. I’m not apologizing. 😂

🫶🏻 LETS GO!!! 🗣️🗣️
Where did you get them from?
Okay so, completely understandable.. but that wasnt actually completely my problem today.. yes I did have an extension cord on the floor, but while I was cleaning my 20 gallon hexagon tall tank, some water splashed over the backside of it, and I have it against the wall directly above the wall outlet so water got into the actual wall outlet, it started sparking and smelled horribly burnt. I quickly ripped everything out of the wall and it stopped, but could I even 1 use this outlet again and 2 how can I avoid this happening again?? The tank is very heavy even without water due to the rocks and gravel, and the tank it’s self weighing quite a bit…
Sorry to hear this, I had this happen once too when a hang on back filter overflowed down the wall, outlet burnt up, I ended shutting the breaker and swapping that out let for a new one just in case and then using clear packing tape to kind of make a shield around that outlet and the plug in it that diverted any water that did run down the wall from actually going in the outlet, never had that problem again
He's looking romantical
Thank you
If using a mobile phone for your white screen make sure it hasn't got a tempered glass screen protector on it because this will give an erroneous result
Wow
to stop floppy you have to nosh that plastic lip
Our snails make out all the time. Was hoping for eggs but I think he's just got a dingleberry...😅
I’m getting some blue dream shrimp today 🎉
So do you use all the water you just made and fill the whole tank? And how long does it stay at those parameters in the water? If you dont do anything like no water changes or whatever would it still be the same or is this something you have to continually dose?
Thanks a lot man ! This actually worked. I have a giant piece of glass smooth edges but no stamp and I wanted to drill and I did this and it worked exactly like you said. Thanks
🤮
can we add plain carbonated soda water to dissolve sulawesi salt
How much the jar holds water?
2.5gal so 9.4liters
@@EverybodyAquatic so that means, three scoops for 9.4 litres? And once this settled down, how much the pH and kh gh comes into?
@@ShubhadipRoy no I overdosed it on purpose to make a concentrated version, you water it down with RO water afterwards until you get a TDS reading of 140-150ppm which should give you a gh 6 kh 4
@@ShubhadipRoy and you use an air stone to gas off the C02 that comes from the soda steam
@@EverybodyAquatic thanks for sharing that, actually I used to add one scoop to 20 litre, but the pH reading is coming always very low to 7.4 and kh/gh 5/7
Hi, at what temperature do you keep your Discus fish?
I keep them right around 83f which is 28c
I think its floppy to stop topfront glare which often distracts from the main body of light. I angle my angle poise light similarly.
That’s a good point I didn’t think of that
Man that’s awesome I don’t know why I haven’t done this before. -Underwater Aquatics
Thanks! Never too late to start
Kinda neat
Def has Spider-Man colors
omg ur blue shrimp look beautiful and look like they came in good condition although i've never ordered fish or shrimp :')
Thank you! Yeah so far they’re doing amazing, in a couple months we should have a huge colony
how many liters fit in your canister?
That canister im using is 2.5gal so roughly 9.4 liters
@@EverybodyAquatic thank u
