APEX Saves The Day
Ep5 - IRC-APEX - It's OK to be FRAMED!
Video concept, production and music by Mark E.
This qwad's name: ZatYu-B (formerly CuddleS)
In this video I tie up the loose ends from my 3rd video, "Salvaging My Failed X-Class 4-Inch Analog BUILD" from a build perspective, and share some issues I faced with the frame I initially built on, and steps I took to get the qwad flying, ending with its inaugural flight footage. In essence, this is a proof of concept video.
In a future video I hope to put this qwad through its paces and share some flight footage of what it is truly capable of... but I need to tune it first.

Salvaging My Failed X-class 4-inch Analog Build
มุมมอง 2552 หลายเดือนก่อน
Trying to pit my new 4-inch analog against its 5-inch cousins... but I encountered some issues. Rather than considering my efforts a failure, I chose to celebrate the wins and still post the video. This is my first analog build. Good job buddy… Trial & Error. You will get it brother 🎉
@tsarnicholas3 True. I'm not afraid to try and fail. That's how I learn. Thanks.
Nice. I like
Thanks.
That was quite the flight. Impressive. Good build.
Awesome video
@@garthlevy8275 Thx for the support.
Thats not X class did you even know what an X class is xD
Hey, thx for watching. Did I get this wrong? My understanding is that this 'stance' of qwads are considered Squashed X. But, I'm open to correction.
@QLx-expmi if you mean the arm configuration on this frame you can say true X, but if I remember you said X Class and this kind of frames used motors where each one weights at 250gramms
@helloryx9921 Yes, X-Class was meant to refer to the geometry of the arms on the frame. And I understand that 'Squashed X' refers to wider frames, and 'Stretched X' refer to longer frames.
@@QLx-expmi you tell him QLx-expmi!!
@@Jackspaniel1 LOL.
Great video. Very informative
This frame looks like the geprc leopard frame
@helgelarsen684 Thx for watching. I'm unfamiliar with the frame u mentioned. Is it still in circulation/available? I'm constantly looking for frames that pique my interest.
@@QLx-expmi well it's an old frame! Geprc lx5 leopard! Oscar liang has an review article on it
Found his video 🙈 from 2017!
@@helgelarsen684 I couldn't find the Oscar Liang video you mentioned but I saw several others showcasing the GEP Leopard LX-5 frame. The top canopy looks similar to my AlfaRC (but without the carbon fibre side plates) but you'll notice there's a noticeable difference with the arms between the two frames, in that he AlfaRC LSX-5 is stretched along the roll axis and the arms are thicker and more angular. I'm still new to FPV but am trying to explore as many frames that I find interesting to build and fly them.
Love it very educational
@@TPrather Thx plenty. More to follow.
Sick build dude! Dropped a sub!
Thx @Rocky... I appreciate all the support. I'm still finding my 'voice' for my channel, as there are other themes I wish to explore and share as well.
I watched the entire video & I'm very impressed. It started out looking like a bird or a flat object reaching for something. The fact that you highlighted the problems encountered & how you tried to correct them. End result looked good, very very impressed how you put that circuit board together. Keep up the good work & I'm looking forward to next video. Bless up
Thx for taking time to enjoy my efforts. Hopefully it was entertaining. Much appreciated.
All those terminologies boy! Enjoyed the video and the info. Great work my friend.
@ronagilbert5815 Lol. Thx. Let me know when u're ready for me to build u one. It'd be my pleasure.
Cool
Love your knowledge, AND you enjoy what you're doing. It shows.
Good info. Id like to get up to speed on one those soon!
Time and exposure to all the info usually does the trick. Keep watching... and thx.
Looking for some of that Sunsmile footage....let's go!
It's coming sooner than u think. The lackluster performance is a kick in the pants to remedy all that's wrong with it. Keep an eye out.
First time I saw XT30 quick disconnect plugs for the motors. Is this working good or is it giving you too much vibrations?
Yes, these Amass 3-pin connectors are awesome. Easy to switch motors. Get them on Amazon or AliExpress. Sorry I don't have a link but you shld be able to find them no problem. Buy in bulk, it's cheaper.
Keep going brother! Love this content.. Your enthusiasm and genuineness about your craft is easily noticeable 🙌🏾👍🏾👊🏾
Thx, Swiftie. More on the way.
Great result ...
Thx, more to follow.
My guy!! FINALLY!!!.. So proud of you bro! This is great!
Swiftie, my guy... it means a lot coming from u. And now the consistency challenge begins. Lol.
Nicely done!
Thanks.
Woot! We have lift off! Bro, really cool- really smooth... must be fun creating something and watching it fly...says alot alot about the process we all go through. Luv the dedication bro, grateful 🎉🎉🎉 And sweet on the audio track, I give credit where it's do. Build that brand yo! Blessings
Thx for all the support. Very grateful for u all... not just for the video but the encouragement et al. Humbled.
Not only did i like, i and subscribed as well :) A couple thoughts: -I notice making videos of this quality is very challenging and takes a lot of time and effort to pull off (and for perfectionists, get perfect) so i can appreciate the quality and attention to detail too -The final product takes up probably less than 10% of the overall process so it kinda makes me sad whenever i see videos where the creator talks about negative comments they recieved, the commenters know little to nothing what happens behind the scenes - 3:46 that was pretty smooth, nice -The music is very well made, kudos to your daughter, she's a real one for supporting you and providing one of her tracks to use instead of some stranger online You both will go places, keep it up :))
Thanks for your support. Much appreciated.
Hey, my friend, this is pretty cool. So proud of you.
Occupying with what my hands find to do! Kudos to my daughter for letting me use her music... and for her help. Probably wouldn't have finished without her. Mad love.
