It's interesting that the 51, 53, and, I assume, the 55 stop at the Shopping Center Stop. When reading a description of the routes, I assumed that they didn't. However, that answers how they handle the inter-change of the routes. I wonder what will happen to the 51, 53, and 55 when the Shopping Center gets torn down in a few years to make an apartment building.

I think one reason the signs weren't updated at first on the Orions and ARBOC's the rest of the Orion's were scheduled to be retired starting this year, and running until 2027, and all the ARBOC's were supposed to be replaced as well. However, since the Orion's and a hand full of ARBOC's are suppose to be replaced by Battery Electric buses and it was said that the said Battery Electric buses are delayed that replacement is therefore delayed and the signs needed to be updated.

Eventually those R211s from option 1 after the A and C is done it will go to the D E and F lines. Since those lines have either High ridership, CBTC and Aging of cars.

As for the redesign there were flyers on all the buses weeks before it started saying it was going to happen so usual passengers should have known about it but those who don't take the bus on a regular basis were the ones more confused. I like how the driver brought up the 7D, 7E, and S71. I miss those old routes especially the 7E which went to the beach in summer and now i gotta walk 20min off the s66 to go to the beach As for the end of the 53 run even here the driver wasnt aware that the 51 and 53 ended on 112 and not at that bus shelter. I was on the 53 after this (maybe a week or 2 after this video) and he ended the run at this spot again and then he asked another driver if he was supposed to end it here or on 112 and he was told on 112 on front of the Speedway gas station. But all is fine now. It took time to adjust to everything and there's definitely less confusion now than when this all started

Question for you. I needed to take the 12 bus from Bay Shore rd going to Farmingdale. The bus stop was a paper sign inside a plastic sleeve zip.tied to an old utility pole. I see the bus coming, it's a minubus. The driver sees me but doesn't stop, keeps on going. Any idea why they would do that? This was my first time trying to take the bus since I moved here. I ended having to walk back home and ride my bike 9 mi. to my destination. Why would a bus driver pass a person at a bus stop on a busy road? Thanks!
