The world's most efficient automatic blast cleaning solution for offshore and onshore towers
The Blastman B12S is a wall-mounted - blasting robot developed for blasting tubular workpieces, such as sections of wind turbine towers. The frame of the robot moves the robot arm in the longitudinal direction of the blast room on rails that are fixed on the walls. The purpose of the robot arm is to direct and move the blasting nozzles. The Blastman B12S robot typically consists of four (4) axes and one external axis which controls the rotating stand of the workpiece.
The Blastman B12S robot applications include tubular workpieces, such as windmill tower sections.
Wind power plants onshore and offshore require a long-lasting and mechanically strong painted surface. The visual appearance of large towers is very important as well as they are part of our view and environment.
Blastman's fully automated robotic blast cleaning solution has been proven to be the most efficient and reliable method for surface treatment in the windmill manufacturing industry. Robotic blast cleaning provides a constant high-quality surface preparation grade and the correct roughness for the entire workpiece. The efficiency of an automatic blast cleaning robot is over tenfold compared to traditional manual blasting.
Products blast cleaned every day by Blastman robots in the wind energy industry:
-Tower sections
-Monopiles
-Rotor hubs
-Generator components
-Generator housings

Abrasive blast cleaning is the optimal method for finishing the casting surface. The best results are reached with heavyweight abrasive particles, large blast nozzles, and high pressures. These create high kinetic energy for particles hitting the casting surface. For a manual blast cleaner, it is impossible to handle these three factors in day-to-day operation. Operators get fatigued and soon t...

    If your so Bad A$$ design a mobile robot that can put out EV fires! Weather its on a boat, parking garage 10th floor, or just down the street from your moms house. The world has been waiting for you to do it! A treaded sand blasting robot that tows around a couple tons of sand AT THE READY! Maybe sand conbon could be restocked via a Forklift as it empties out? 🤔

    Man, I learned way back in first grade that you ALWAYS wash and/or rinse from the top down. You lost my interest when your computer-controlled robot did the bottom half of the tank first, then the top half. Poor job with animation or poor job with programing the robot? Either way, poor job.

      Always blast the floor first in a tank car. If you save the floor for last, you'd be blasting through a foot or so of blast media

      @@RealSavage7 I wonder if we're talking about the same thing. If you start at the bottom of an object and clean to the top, you keep washing dirty water over the clean parts on the bottom, right? So you just keep adding dirt to the just-cleaned part. THAT makes NO sense at all. But if you start at the top and wash down, you don't have to keep going back to the top to keep washing off the dirt. Do it once, right, and go find something else to work on.

      @@thomream1888 We don't use water in a tank car that requires a liner after blast. Only gas pressurized tank cars require a 5000 PSI pressure washer, they don't require a liner. If we used water to wash a, for instance, a sulfur car. The bare metal would all be rusted beyond lining, ths requiring a re-blast which is thousands of dollars. You always start blast from bottom, sweep the grit out, and begin middle and top, ending in shoveling, then vacuum. Afterwards, it goes into the paint department for the liner. This is the easiest way for manual blasting. This junk robot will only steal more jobs for the working class. It is what it is.

      @thomream1888 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MuddyBob650 Well Bob, you sure educated this dummy! I'll admit to knowing nothing about what was inside these tank cars, and sure enough, assuming it was just a "wash and rinse" type of job, proceeded to make an ass out of myself. You on the other hand, are safe! I don't know how much grit you are referring to, but knowing that, it does make sense to start low, clean out the loose stuff and make room for the higher-up gunk. Can you tell me why there is so much grit in the transported material? Oh, I just re-read your answer - but is all the grit related to the cleaning process or is there "crud" in the transported materials that settles out? Is this a "clean as needed" or a regulation-mandated cleaning? I know I'm asking a lot of questions, and don't mean to waste your time in a response - is there a website or source that might answer these questions without burning up all your weekends for the next 6 months?!!? And I do really appreciate you taking the time to educate me - I love to learn stuff, and thought I had a basic understanding of Tank Car cleaning. Oops! Thanks again for your time, please stay safe at work.
