    Hi how are you!! I'm considering buying a diode laser cutting machine. However, I realized that caution is needed when dealing with MDF. Furthermore, I am wondering whether this precaution should be extended to other materials, especially since, regarding MDF, which is not widely discussed in Brazil, I had to seek information abroad. Although it is a topic that is rarely covered, I was concerned to discover that there is evidence that MDF may be linked to cancer, due to the gases that are produced during the laser cutting process. Unfortunately, I was unable to find information about the gases emitted when burning other materials, such as cardboard. Would you have any knowledge or information about this? Furthermore, I would like to know if there is some kind of exhaust cabin for this equipment, which is capable of filtering and cleaning these gases before they are released into the environment. Look at the answer I already had about this (if you're scared, just don't do it because everything in life causes some kind of harm to your health). Thank you in advance for your help and guidance. thanks ola tudo bem !!estou considerando comprar uma máquina de corte a laser de diodo.

      My thoughts are that any fumes/sawdust is bad for you, so I use precautions regardless of the material, such as ventilation or a mask. I think it's important to mitigate the risk, no matter how small. We all want to be doing this for as long as we can!

    Thanks for an excellent step-by-step tutorial. I tried to use your code to create a new macro in "OpenBuilds Control". I got this error message when I tried to run it: error: 2 - Numeric value format is not valid or missing an expected value. [ %ENDMILL_DIAMETER = 3.175 ] I know that you use a different controller but I'm hoping someone here can help me out. (I'm not a coder.) Thank you.

    I saw women try cutting a board with a serrated bread knife.

    • @kjh_woodworking
      @kjh_woodworking 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And this is why I felt it necessary to include that topic in the video, to tell women its okay to woodwork, even when people like yourself make these sorts of comments.

  • @kjh_woodworking
    @kjh_woodworking 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    To clarify the woman nailing in screw. The full video clip makes complete sense however, when it was cut down it now looks really bad, which I missed in the editing process. The woman drills a pilot hole, then taps the screw into the hole, to secure it when drilling. No, she is not nailing in a screw, instead of a nail. Let's do our upmost to keep this comments section inviting, and free of any inappropriate comments, that is a result of my editing ability, not the woman's ability!

      It looks so bad out of context 🤣🤣 they were tapping it to seat it into a pilot hole to make it easier to drill in, but I didn't notice it when I cut the clip shorter 🤦🏻‍♂🤦🏻‍♂

    Be careful when using reclaimed wood. Especially pallet wood. It often has nails or other things in it which can damage your tools. Even when using cheap pine common boards you might get from Home Depot or other stores. Just the other day I ran one through my planer and found that a staple was in the end of the board was driven deep enough in the wood that it wasn't visible and it chipped my blade.

    • @kjh_woodworking
      @kjh_woodworking 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good tip! Care should always be used when using any recycled or reclaimed timber. Nothing worse that busting a set of Planer blades!

    That's an awesomely solid cart. Liked the retro-fixes...always the way. However, speaking of gimmicks... RZ Masks ;) Sorry mate, Analytical chemist pet peeze comment... RZ masks do nothing to protect you from fumes. You need a proper cartridge mask such as the 3M with the appropriate level of organic filter for spray painting and epoxy work. PS - RZ masks are also not rated to any Australian standard for dust either last time I checked... the filters are, but the mask itself has failed seal tests in the US numerous times. They are better than not wearing a mask, but I'd never recommend them for long-term protection.)
