Awesome and love it! And appreciate the guitar tribute too! Can't wait to see your next project.
thanks man, i appreciate it!
I remember when all you had was the backyard, a tent, and our brutal Syracuse winters. I am always completely amazed and in awe of your ingenuity, creativity, and perseverance in all that you do. This was an awesome restoration series - Well done Sir! 'the Wife' 🥰
Cars & Guitars 💙 I love it!
Awesome, totally AWESOME! What can I say.
Don't you just hate a car show with late model junk and factory trash making it look like a normal day at Walmart

So exciting to see it moving!! 😃
If I recall from one of your past videos, I think you stated that you've not done work on hot rods, or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong. I will say this, you're a professional Sir!
Thank you Sir! I think I have more determination than anything. LOL
Good job Chris! She's looking fine! Can't wait until she's done. I'm thinking a 61' Chevy Impala next. Your birth year!
i was born in 60 Buckster! besides I dont think I could efford a 1960 or 61 Impala, that would be cool though.
I think you're doin' a fine n' dandy job there Gov'nor! Keep up the good work Sir.
Thank you Sir!
Really enjoying your channel. You've inspired me to try a few things on my '46. Thank you!
thats cool, good luck with your build!
Nice!
Nice work!!! Good job Chris! She looks and sounds nice. Can't wait to see it all done!
yeah im finishing it up this weekend, ill be taking it to a car show next friday if everything goes right
What's the legnth of your bed from the back of the cab to the end of the bed if you don't mind me asking
80 inches from the back of the cab to the end of the box
You give me hope I can finish my 46
What kind or type gas tank did you use
they told me it came out of a mustang not sure what year
Your tremendous patience, Sir, is commendable! It is your patience that will bring your project to fruition!
yes, getting real close now
Well Sir, as my "Ole Pappy" used to say, "slow and steady wins the race".
so true
You'll get it figured out, I know you. In the end, it will all be worth it! Keep on keeping on!
Just stumbled onto your channel and I am binging your 1946 Chevy rebuild! I am currently rebuilding/ building a rat rod 46 Chevy COE car hauler and I really enjoy your MO! I am retired and have three trucks that keep me busy. I cant let a little thing like Prostate Cancer dampen my spirits! I think the majority of hot rodders are like u n me , home garage work on stuff as best as you can! God Bless and God Speed with your projects!🤘🙏
thats cool!
You got the early sweat back that came on the first Novus and Chevelle’s at swoop back instead of the ram horns you need the early ones from the early 60s they’re skinnier they warp and they do make noise
thanks for the tip! im really dreading the thought of having to drop the tranny and changing that thing or worse, pulling the engine again. I dont know why but im not real comfortable working under jack stands anymore, it never used to bother me when i was younger LOL.
I hate to think Amazon sold you the wrong flexplate but it sure sounds like it
actually got it from speedway, but yes it could be.
I really hate starter gremlins you'll get it figured out though
Getting closer and excited for you!
😎
I don't know what that music (?) is, but it SUCKS. Otherwise, a very interesting video. (Please lose the music(?).
You should check timing and fix exhaust leaks . If idle is taking off on you you are running lean and have a intake leak. Im not sure if you have a new camshaft but you cant let it idle if your breaking in a new cam
thanks for the info, cam is not new and i reused the old lifters, i will check the intake again.
Better off ditching both them carbs for a holly. Or change the intake so you can ditch that wonky adapter. They just rob power anyway.
Nice work. She's coming along and I know you will get her running smooth and turning heads. Congratulations!!!!
Thanks
I just got done with my 46 rebuild got a small black 400 with 700R
OMG - YOU SHOULD GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THIS FOR YOU - SHAME IT LOOKS NICE
not sure what you mean or are just trying to be a DICK? if you dont like it go to another page thats the beauty of youtube.
Maybe you figured it out by now but you can't move the distributor backwards just to get it to drop in, compression on zero, point the rotor button at no.1 cylinder when it's engaged on the cam gear, then rotate the motor by hand until it lines up with the oil pump driveshaft and it will seat itself on the intake, you moved #1 backwards when you were trying to get the distributor to seat so now you're off timing by about 90 degrees, hope that helps
Dear shade tree dude.. Can I ask you why your sporten your car battery under the hood where extra room is at a Premium ? But you can obviously see this fella is stuck in the Trendy Satin finish look era that came and went a few years back ...
much easier for me to get to
Don't buy auto parts on the Jungle.
i try not to
Distributor in 180 out, Just pick it up turn 180 Degrees she will start
i did that just to show the processs
Hi, i was wondering where did your seat come from?
dont know, i think it may have come out of a mini van
@@shadetree-restorations That's what it made me think of. I bought a 46 Chevy pickup last weekend.
Man what a good looking truck
thanks bro
👍
You'll get it all figured out, I know you will! It will definitely pay off when she's running.
i hope so! haahaa
Trucks looking awesome
Looking good ! Hey what gauge set up did you use ? I see some gauge clusters on ebay for the 41-46 uses dolphin gauges but not really a fan of them . Thx for any info
