Hey y’all! Welcome to the farm. I’m a Southern Belle who lives on a very Southern Appalachian homestead caring for my Nubian Goats and my other critters along the way! My favorite quote from Paul Harvey
“And on the eighth day, God looked down on his planned paradise, and said, ‘I need a caretaker.’ So God made a farmer.
“God said, ‘I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the fields, milk cows again, eat supper and then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the school board.’ So God made a farmer.”

Wow I missed out on these
Hey Barbra, I’m so sorry! Our Walmart still had a few left in the store the last time I went so they may be some still left. Just make sure to look for any greenery on the plant. That’s how you make sure that they are still alive before purchasing them. They are very beautiful roses! Thank you so much for watching!!
Location pls
Well we went all over the North Georgia area and South East Tennessee area and this is what we found. Every Walmart had a different variety. Also Roses had a great selection as well! Thank you so much for watching!!
Isnt corn wind polinated?
It probably can be but honeybees also contribute majorly to the crop as well. Thank you so much!! Have a great day!
Thank you
Thank you!!
Looks like lots of fun.
It was!! It’s always fun when “tater” digging season comes around! Thank you so much for watching!!
Simply amazing.
That turned out amazing.

My name is Amy. In 2024 my hubby bought me 8 new rose plants. I got more than 8 rose plants right now. I am huge rose lover, thats for sure.! :). I keep all of my rose plants only in planters.!
I have always wanted to plant these beans. I can’t wait to see how they do for you.
Meeeee
We had goats some years back They have personality 😊
😊
What zone are you in? Do you wait till after the last frost date to transplant?
I am in zone 7 and no we wait until after blackberry winter is over and even sometimes after that we have to cover our plants during a mild cold snap. Thanks for commenting!!

Thank you so much!! Me too!
Pls send us another update ❤
It is coming soon! 😉
Very nice
Thank you!!
Thank you for your good advice. I've bought far too many flower seeds this year, so I'll definitely try your trick. I myself have a youtube channel where I show how to tie flowers... But we plan to make a vlog about the renovation of our old barn and what else we do in our fields and our house... I wish you all the best and good luck with your TH-cam channel. Kind regards from Gitte in Denmark
Thank you so much!! That’s awesome!! I just subscribed to your channel! Tying flowers is such an art! Old barns are so beautiful and I love when people renovate them rather than tearing them down. Best wishes to you as well!!
@@SimpleAppalachianHomestead i did the same. Love to se more from your side to.
Thanks for showing this. I worked in a greenhouse when I was in high school many years ago and so many people don’t understand how to do this. Great video.
I have just learned in the past few years, about saving my own seeds, it has been an amazing journey so far. The biggest struggle has been keeping the chickens out of the garden 😢
That’s amazing that you have saved the seeds for so many years.
Did you plant them with cardboard around them?
We left the brown paper which is very similar to a brown paper bag material around them to help keep their soil and dirt from separating and we soaked them with the paper around them as well for several hours before we planted them to keep everything in tack. The paper I’m pretty sure will dissolve over time as it was very fragile as soon as we took it out of the water. We planted over 25 rose plants with the brown paper and so far they are doing great. Thank you so much for commenting Barbra!
I advise not to use soil and bag which it was in.
How long till they climb??few years??
Mine are actually beginning to climb now.
I remember doing this as a kid.
Thanks for showing me how to make this birdhouse.

Yes!! They are darlings!!

How do you clean it out??
Hey John, we do build some of the lids of the bluebird houses with hinges on top to open up to the nest. However, most of our houses we keep the house completely shut to prevent any predators from getting inside and eating the chicks or the eggs. Most bluebirds return to the same nest year after year so we allow each family to decide what parts of the nesting materials that of the previous nest that they want to reuse for the new nest and what parts that they want to toss out of the nest. This creates less stress on the birds to find nesting materials. Thanks
😊
How cute! And how big they have gotten too.
Main yu😂❤❤. Channel 🙏

I hope you show the plants once they have come up. Great video.
