I played more Yu-Gi-Oh as a kid, because that's what the neighborhood kids were playing at the time. But electric types were ones I gravitated toward in Pokemon

Ahh, the more simple times of pokemon TCG when we didn't have EX GX V VMAX V-Star. Love how the original set still holds up to a great playing experience to this day.

I was introduced to the series with Ultimate Qix on Sega Channel. I could not for the life of think of the name or describe the game in a way that was searchable, but ended up finding it just looking through an online list of sega games with their covers.

Great video! Thanks for making it. I'm fascinated by the many, many flash-in-the-pan AAA games whose art will be exhumed in retrospectives like this. We blow through so many game releases, and the media is 99% pre-release hype and release window marketing. Time and context are so crucial for valuable criticism.

Kinda janky execution, but I really enjoyed Quantum Break and it was a real trip to play this weird game/TV hybrid. With not too long of a play time (run time?), I always recommend people pick it up on sale just to try something so unique.

I really liked this game and was a little sad the cross media thing didn't work out. Being a pc player it was already dead by the time i got to play it.

I didn't have any game crashes, but my PC is not good enough to stream it at the same time as playing it.

So microsoft pretty much owns the rights for this game, making it so Remedy can't really do whatever they want with it.

Man, i need to still finish this one, really feels like a big stepping stone to Control.

"Not being able to figure it out" seemed like a purposeful gameplay longevity tactic employed by devs back then. I swear I played games for years because of it. And made friends with people that had the right issues of Game magazines and shared knowledge on the playground and schoolbus. That changed with internet and sites like GameFAQs

Wolverines health auto restores in the first game, it just takes forever. The phalanx was an op infantry maneuver that alex the great used to goos effect when he was conquering stuff.

There was qix-like game pre-installed on Samsung flip phone, it was cool to play, you could kill enemies by painting area where they are flying

Qix reminds me of a better version of Snake. I freaking love that game and still play it as well. But Qix is something else. I love how many different versions we got just from this game. I can see someone make a movie about this game or at least the concept. Just like what they did with Tron. Pong and Snake was big insperation for Tron. Which is awesome and the movie The Last Star Fighter is like a classic Atari Space Shooter. Which we had alot back then in the Atari era.

Love the overall execution of this game, but the longevity leaves a lot to be desired still. Hopefully this is something that they decide to update and add to later on. There are a ton of games with great moments of possible challenges they could release in packs.
