Hello everyone! Welcome to the channel where you will be seeing content from a fellow railfan that is from the southern part of ct. As a railfan from ct, I usually tend to railfanning trains on the new haven line/northeast corridor, but sometimes I railfan on some other rail lines. On this yt channel, you will be seeing trains like metro north, amtrak, and basically some other rail lines that operate here in ct, and MAYBE trains from different states.

Hey guys Southwest Connecticut Railfan here, and today i begin to railfan at Stamford. Now if yall saw my last video of me railfanning at stamford, or not, i said i never wanted to go to Stamford, but, i wanted to give Stamford another chance. So i went back, and, it wasn’t that bad ig, even though i got wet a little bit from the rain. If yall are thinking, why did i name the video "a stormy afternoon railfanning at stamford" when it was actually sunny? Well, that was bc, it was raining the most and the sun was out for a little bit, so, yeah. Um, ig thats all for what i gotta say for the description, i really got nothing else to say tbh, so yeah. Why is there a genesis being run on electrified lines?
New Haven is where they switch from electric to Diesel on the line that runs north from new Haven through Hartford to Springfield and points beyond. I'd guess they were just in the process of switching something

I agree. My question is why did they make ctrail go to springfield, ma. Isn’t it supposed to be a train from ct, and couldn’t they just have vermonter and northeast regional go from new haven, ct to springfield, ma, why have them stop at the ctrail stations.
that’s what I’m wondering as well, but Amtrak had ran the line way before CT rail operated it
they need to make like a yard at hartford station bc 1. its called hartford union station, and 2, its a station that ctrail should be stopping at. why do they have ctrail go to springfield, ma if ctrail was built by the cdot, its not called ct&marail nor was built by massdot.
