@@rebeccaflanegan1152 thank you so much!! ♥️
what a good idea! love it :)
@@kyrabrown7541 thank you!! We thought it was a good one to share :)
LOVE your shows about Fourth Wing/Iron Flame and the ACOTAR series! ❤️🙌🏻✨ You two have such great energy, your reactions are so genuine, and I love how you keep your commentary so generally positive, which seems rare these days. You guys are my first and only book-related podcast, and you’ve made rethinking these books so fun, so thank you! I’ve read FW/IF three times and definitely picked up different things each time, but your discussions still inspired me with new ideas! SPOILERS BELOW!!! Re: Iron Flame - There are a few strange lines about Dain once he’s on Team Aretia that make me pause about his true intentions. He could be a mole playing for the “dark side” from the inside. Or not. I also think things have been set up for the Dain- Violet-Xaden love triangle to continue. As Violet struggles with the stress and trauma of Xaden being venin, she could lean on Dain for support and he could end up taking advantage of her vulnerability, coaxing her into a romance and betraying Xaden. Which just complicates the already complicated Violet-Xaden relationship. I’m not sure how far down the venin road Xaden will go, like how extreme his “turn” will get, but it seems likely that Violet will definitely be on a quest to save his soul. Which her second signet will surely be key to accomplish. I can’t say I have a good read on what that signet will be, despite all the theories. What if the reason the venin so badly want Violet is that the head venin is Violet’s biological father? I think Aaric could be the distance wielder. And why don’t we know what Garrick’s signet is? So many questions! Only two more months until we get some answers! 🤩
@@rebeccaflanegan1152 this was so sweet!! Thank you so much! We definitely try to keep things more positive so we are so glad that shines through 😍 we are so happy you are here!! Also AMAZING comments about Fourth Wing and Iron Flame!! We cannot wait to discuss it when it releases 😏
@ you’re welcome and thank you! And Jenna-I loved your choice for favorite scene from IF (the one where Violet has seconds to tell Xaden to kiss her). Honestly, I’m a true fan of the original FW Xaden (because I like the intimidating, cocky, badass version of his character) BUT one of my favorite IF scenes is Ch. 48 where he sits Violet on the “throne” and meticulously lays everything out for her, including himself and his intentions, and vulnerability. As he jokingly suggests in the line about the role reversal between them, he shows in this scene that he really is evolving and maturing and he’s calling on her to do the same. Although my favorite FW scene is Ch. 22, the first kiss in the snow. ❄️ 😍
As we know with this series, any time RY drops repeated details about something but then zips by without much explanation, that means it’s significant. With more truth yet to be revealed. The fact that we hear frequently about Violet’s dad and how much he meant to her, but we know so little about him. (And Violet mentions once, albeit to herself/the reader, that she knows where her dad’s notes/research on the feather tails is.) The multiple mentions of Bodhi being Xaden’s cousin (I mean really, once you tell me they’re supposedly cousins, I can kind of remember that for next time, no need to hammer that in, unless you’re trying really hard at subterfuge) combined with the multiple mentions that Xaden is an only child-there may be some surprise familial connection there. And then there’s Naolin. Definitely get the feeling he is not dead. Also, got a random feeling during reading that perhaps Naolin was closer to Lilith Sorrengail than anyone else knew.
This book was crazy!!
This is my first 5 person pov and got to say I'm enjoying so far. Each character voice is distinct and love how they are traveling separately and its all building to a bigger event haha. There is definitely more romance than I expected too. Favourite POVs for me are Sora and Mikail.
@@jacintatate we LOVE this!!! This is how we felt too

I dont think Lydia is a decendant of Aelin, just a decendant of Brannon. I think she'd be a very distant cousin of Aelin.
I'm also nervous about "Hail Mary's" movie and how they will portray THAT character!
The Tom Felton autobiography Beyond the Wand is so good!! Shelby--If you're looking for erotica, try The Never King (Vicious Lost Boys series) by Nikki St. Crowe 🔥
@@kimberlyb1721 thank you so much for the recommendations 🙏🏼
Rhys says in ACOTAR that not every 'mate' is a perfect match, sometimes the fates get it wrong. He mentions his parents being mates but they were completely wrong for each other, when Feyre asks about Elain and Lucian. So maybe it's something like that... 😭
From how I understand, once bargains are fulfilled the tattoos disappear; page 643, when Nesta calls in her favor to Cassian for him to leave her alone and not talk to her for a week unless she spoke to him first just before she gets taken to the blood rite, she says she felt a tingle down her spine and knew the tattoo had disappeared. Therefore, if she got a tattoo from the bargain with the cauldron it hasn't been fulfilled. She says to the cauldron, "If you show me how to save her, you can have it all back." In my eyes, Nesta saved them all the glowing light was a healing power similar to Day Court, because she asked the cauldron to show her how to do it. AND we all know bargains have to be worded very carefully, Nesta never said WHEN she would give that power back which makes me think she either didn't give any of it back and the Mother prevented the cauldron from taking it or she at least saved a part of it for Nesta not giving it all back like it was said in the bargin. Therefore the tattoo because there is unfinished business between her and the cauldron...

i wonder if the new series Sarah is working on has to do with the origins of Midgard/Prythian and the Gods... The Gods have been mentioned many times but never in very much detail, and we still have so many unanswered questions about everything that happened 15000 years ago. What makes me feel like we could use a series or at least a book about it all is how the couple Gods randomly made an appearance at the end of Throne of Glass, and the one Goddess (i can't remember her name I think it starts with a D) who randomly fucked with Aelin that one time near the end of the series. Like those parts just felt so random and confusing to me, I feel like there's more to know there. Not to mention we still don't know a lot about Jesiba or Amren... I would love to know more about it all, like a prequel for the whole universe or something!
I think the trials are every 5 years
Im late to watching this but i wanted to add about Elains bond thingy, i had read somewhere that Azrael was Elains mate but when she was thrown into the cauldron the bond was dying but cause the Cauldron wound up loving Elain as opposed to its hatefulness towards Nesta, it gave her Lucien as like a consolation for what it took. So now, she will truly have a choice in whom to choose and that once she chooses, the others mate tethering will disappear leaving them free to find another mate. I dont know about that but i have not heard anything like that and thought it was interesting.
Love you guys!!
Thank you!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I really wish we could have gotten dual POV's with Bjorn, because Freya was myeh for me but I loved Bjorn. I love the body warmth micro-trope too!
I think this is a really good theory! SPOILER ALERT! We know possession by other entities is possible…. didn’t this happen at least once in TOG?
Bryce was my favourite main female character out of her, Aelin and Feyre but thought she was so rude and horrible even to Hunt in this book. Found it very hard to get through this book on that alone.
I thought they were going to justify it by saying oh the two swords she's carrying are making her this way. NOPE she was just being a B!!
Yes! I took a month break from it. Once I went back to it I enjoyed it but man oh man it was a journey
We are right there with you!! Its been hard to get into it the last couple months
48:37 I think that, because of the book that Violette has about the folklore of Navarre I understand that the legend says that there were 3 men - I don't know if they were brothers - and that one was a dragon rider, the second was a griffin flyer and that the last one couldn't bond to any of these creatures and therefore He couldn't use magic. So jealous of his brothers he decided to take magic directly from the source without binding to any creature and thats how he turned into a venin. So i dont think you necessarily need to be a flyer or a driver to turn into one.
Just found you guys and I absolutely love this channel!🩷💗 definitely keep doing this because this channel will definitely blow up. Found you through tiktok!
This made our whole day! THANK YOU!! ♥️
Do you have a recommended Sanderson reading order?
I felt underwhelmed with Ruthless Vows too and share a lot of similar thoughts about it. Some fantasy reading suggestions to get out of a reading slump: An Ember in the Ashes (it's a complete series now) by Sabaa Tahir, From Blood and Ash by Jennifer Armentrout, and The Guest List by Lucy Foley (the full cast audio is fantastic).
Thank you so much for the recommendations! We felt the same way about ruthless vows sadly, we wanted to love it!
Such a highly anticipated book!
Love your discussions! I enjoyed the part about Mor in this one. I always took her power of truth to mean she speaks the truth and can detect it. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Ameren (not Mor) is Rhysand's second.
Can I please get your recommendations for Sanderson reading order?
Azriel was avoiding Elaine because of the whole bonus chapter with Rhys being a dick, they are proper into each other
