@@trentdawg2832 haha caught! That’s my dad’s car he bought 17+ years ago before prices on air cooled anything exploded. It was a running driving car when he bought it and but then it sat for a long time. I got it running and driving again a little while ago, but it has a ton of rust to be fixed. Front nose/battery tray, floor pans, door jams. Major project and definetly on the list to work on. Started the process of ripping it apart like all the front suspension is ripped out and most of the interior. Like everyone always says, “some day!”

What is the most aggressive mufflers black widow has?
@@alvinroberts7472 I’m not 100% sure but I think it would have to be their “neighbor hater” they have aggression meters on their website and also a couple sound clips from various types of cars

Did anyone else get nervous about that spring fly out when he was working around it or was it just me
@@jameshuffstutler8298 there was barely any pressure on it, just enough to wedge it on the spring perch, looked way more dramatic than it was lol
@EOESKOOLIE was it a cut spring because when I look out the oem ones on mine it shot out like a cannon and I had it apart like you did and push the control arm down and boom spring went flying lol
@@jameshuffstutler8298 no they were stock height, there’s a drop bracket on the axle side so that probably helped a little bit but the shock was disconnected and I was able to push the axle down most of the way

@@sandmansimms5704 just a summit F cam and a set of GT40p heads with Trick Flow springs to match the cam. Yes it’s carb now

try some porter mufflers thats what i use , the widows do sound good though

Just an FYI, the Flaming River parts are nice, but they're proprietary. You have to use their inner and outer tie-rods. And they're more than twice the price versus a Ford rack. My son's car came with a FR manual rack and we just went through this. Just something to keep in mind. I'll be going factory Ford in the future so that we can get parts.

@EOESKOOLIE I doubt Ford makes one anymore. They're all aftermarket replacements. I just meant a Ford factory replacement.

Shame the original roller block is long gone. I have no idea why anyone would replace that with a 289. My 85 block with B303 cam and twisted wedge heads ripped back in the day.
I almost bought that car a few years ago in PA. With the 4:10’s the car ripped and screamed! It had the 289 in it when I drove it. From my understanding, the car was raced hard back in the day.
@@travis3799 oh yeah it’s been driven hard and put away wet for sure. The 289 was long gone by the time I bought it. It came with a non roller 302 and I Put a different 302 in it and now it’s back rippin. I bought it with a 4.30 gear in it and it knocks the tires of pretty easily 1-2nd lol
