How to Warm-up for a Pool Tournament or Match
It’s crazy that he even saw the 5 going to the side. Excellent shot
rubbish
Do you have a video on how to set the drills up?
Thank you for the video! You have a new subscriber here!
Every time he re-looks at the shot, more chalk. A lot of players do it, like a stress reliever and a ritual part of the pre-shot routine. They aren't even looking at the tip to see that it is carefully covered they way they might do on some shots, just working off nerves drilling the stick into the chalk.
I didn’t know snoop played pool. But don’t surprise me pool is awesome! Maybe he’s seen a few of my pool videos. Cheers
Hey thanks for the warm up!
Nice comeback. The missed 8 was a predictable miss for me. The brain has a tendency to lose focus when it 'feels' accomplishment of goals. In these moments of hitting the problem solving shot. Tell yourself, 'this isnt over, i still have to....' this will help keep the brain on task. You may not need this. You may know already. But somebody might need it. GL
You got that right, sometimes I get a little too happy with myself lol
@rhyschen nah, get excited. Just be sure to reset your brain and it will stay on task. You play at about 630 fargo? Hard to tell from just this. Get excited, keep it fun,and refocus.
Woah man I didn’t know Snoop D O double jizzle was a pool player. That’s crazy u playing with a celebrity
He's the real life Doppelganger lol 😆
@@rhyschenhaha good shooting bro you’re a phenomenal player

Mi Good mon blessings 🙌
When was this
@macdaddyuvaw January 2024 it's in the description. Thanks for viewing.
They need a shot clock and it's not for Thorsten...
After 45 years I am trying to play pool again. I liked your video and would like to know what spin was used during the drill with the half circle when you drew the ball for the next shot.
Sorry for the long time response. I used bottom English and manipulation of pocket opening
@@rhyschen Thank you.
Appreciate your teaching and humiliy.
Appreciated your response 👍🏽
Gald, i could help
Sound next time!
@jacobbarnhart couldn't use the poolhall background because of music due to copyright infringement. I will have to add some sound next time lol 😆
@Rhys Chen good shooting!! I didn't even think of that. That's lame in all honesty I just like the sound of cue dropping balls. Keep up the good work!!
Who is this Kat he shoots well. This really helped my game thanks Rhys Chen
Nice Environment
OK, nothing wrong with the video, it’s great information.. However, if you’re playing rotation it’s just best to avoid side pocket shots when you have other options.. Not all the time, not when it’s easy or straightforward.. However, manufacturing side pocket position will get you in trouble.. Especially late in the rack, or whenever your next ball is close to a rail, where if you come up short you have no control of position speed, or it you go long now you’re going 3 rails for position.. Much better to play to corner pockets in those situations and roll to position.. But that’s advanced knowledge not for everyone..
To illustrate my point, if the 7 is on the head rail close to the left corner pocket, the 8 is near the left side pocket, maybe 4-5 inches off the rail, and the 9 is in the middle of the foot rail?.. Then I’m just gonna dunk in the 7 and roll over to the left side rail, and shoot the 8 in the bottom left corner and roll toowards the 9 ball.. Instead of trying to get position on the 8 in the side and coming up short, which is death, or going long and having to go 3 rails for position on the 9.. That’s no good, trust me..
It's good to know your side pocket shots to get yourself out of a Jam Especially if you miss position on the 9-ball. They also comes up alot in Straight Pool.
The Side Pockets are like sand traps as in golf but it's there so why not use them sometimes. Don't just limit yourself to one technique.
@@rhyschen I never had an issue hitting the center from anywhere.. In fact, I never had an issue playing to any part of the pocket I want, when that’s an option of course.. It’s not about that.. It’s about shooting the correct shot so there’s never a chance you miss position.. Like I said, it’s for advanced players who don’t mind length..
Thank you buddy
You're welcome Patricio. Do me a favor please share and subscribe 😊 will be appreciated
Nice pool house
Now Closed all good things must come to an end as they always say.
Nice out!
I don't see how this is different from making any ball in any pocket.
I love Earl.
Who doesn't lol
@@rhyschen Sensitive people. Earl is not for the faint of heart.

Do you use aiming systems? Or just by feel and experience?
Yes i do The way I Aim is in the Video
Nice job! 👍
Thanks
You should respect your elders but I would of loved to see that 80 year old kick your ass! Lol. It was a little poke. You be poking people sometimes too! 😂
Looks like you’re clenching your hand hard at the end of your stroke..
Occasionally I think especially if it's a Pressure situation/ Shot like a Power draw for example then pop goes the cueball lol 😆
gotta stop that body movement on the follow thru
Thanks for the input. I just did a "be still drill" just right b4 you made that comment. Ten balls 5 diamonds apart cue ball on first diamond object balls on the head-string 5 & 6 lines up from corner to corner opposite corners. Trying to stop cue ball dead with little to no spin at all and not to hit another ball or wobble in pocket.
Only reason that went in is due to the 16 times he chalked his tip. 👍
Well look who posted another video 😃
Max is one of the most levelest and straightest cuesman you'll ever find.
What room is this?
A good way for me to make these shots is to look at them the same as if it was a corner pocket. Sometimes we tend to aim differently cuz its the side but its the same as aiming for a corner pocket
Love Earl to bits.
Very nice demo, thank you. I love banking.
Apex predator has found you.....
Anyone else here after missing a big side pocket shot in competition? lol
Great video! Great insight on side pocket shots! Thanks
