Wilt Chamberlain's passing abilities
มุมมอง 7K11 ปีที่แล้ว
This time about Wilt's passing abilities. He led the league in assists in 1968, only center of all time to do that. Not bad at all for a so called "ball hog" by the criticism...

Ja morant would bring down the room of this place
Those were the days. I was 13 years old. The captain Willis Reed. Mr MVP he was the man
Strange seeing the shot clocks on the floor rather than behind the backboard.
Jabali was Kansas City's finest.
Wow😮
He 7feet 2” He doesn’t even have to jump maybe about an inch.
The NBA competitions and contest were in a constant evolution, this was one of the first NBA contest, obvious they did not a reference from where to improve. The only one who was a creator was DR J. Then in the 80s Dominique Wilkins, mid 80s Jordan, and the contest was growing. But the NBA reached a point were the competition is decreasing. No one can mention a decent contest in the last 10 years, apart from Aaron Gordon and Lavine. And some people making jokes about this contest. lol.
The ABA made the NBA more popular once the merger happened. It became sports entertainment and really attracted the fans.
What an ordinary slam dunk
Why in the world did they not foul when down 1 with the shot clock essentially shut off?!
Imagine if Pistol Pete played in the ABA.Showtime for real!
Did King ever miss a shot?
He was a scoring machine
Overall, by this time, ABA had better players in the NBA. More entertaining.
Notice the play is a lot more intense than contemporary all Star games. The guys really tried back then. Now, the potential for injury and games featuring all the players are an everyday thing.
Current all stars are absolute garbage.
Pat Boone was an Awesome owner for the Oakland Oaks.
Metro Index Camp in Pittsburgh in 1994 about the same as this
Ml Carr's dunk at 1:06 is amazing it's like they're not trying/don't get what it requires to do it well
Love seeing a competitor enter the slam dunk contest- unlike LeBalco lol.
And you are Lebroke
Great memories watching these dudes..
Jordan>kareem
1:09 and 1:11 was literally the same dunk #we done with the 70s
ㅈㄴ 멋없긴하다.
Too bad the video doesn't show Kareem's feet on the dunk where Don Criqui said he took off just inside the FT line. Pretty impressive for a 7'2" guy. As i watch his dunks again, they are underrated.
You know what's crazy? That this is the LAST TIME that Boston has hosted the NBA All Star Game. It's absurd that the city of the most successful NBA franchise, with the exception of the Los Angeles Lakers, has not hosted the NBA All Star Game in *60 YEARS!!!!* They should host it at the TD Garden at some point in the *near* future.
Possibly 2029
the game that almost didn't happen
too bad the ABA existed. now we're stuck with the 3 pt. shot....the shot that cheapens basketball, that isn't even logical.
It's logical if a league wants to avoid blow outs, and a game dominated by 7 footers. It's also a faster game amongst all the teams. Like the NFL, it's all about scoring for drama.
@@ARIZJOE h6w about 9 pts f6r td's over 5* yds?
Man, thw world really moves fast.
I was at this game! I was 9 years old and a dedicated Knick fan. I bothered my father for months before he got tickets. We sat in green for $16/seat. It was the old game I went to all season.
Me and 88 other fans attended the final game in Houston Mavericks history. Beat the Nets 149-132. The crowd was deafening. Yep, just another great moment in ABA history.
Gil’s Arena led me to this research. Reem’ really did a sky hook dunk.
same 😂
GROWING UP IN NEW YORK I WAS A CELTICS FAN THAT WAS NOT EASY OK I STILL AM AS OF TODAY I HOPE THE CELITCS WIN THE TITLE THIS 2024 SORRY KNICKS FANS KENNETH O
And now you see better dunks on a random high school warm up lane.
Next, ladies and gentlemen, a newcomer by the name of Vince Carter. Oh my!, this building just exploded!!!😂
Not "top 5". he's #1
wemby need moves like this, wilt used alot of finesse but was efficient
The NBA was so behind in the day
All these legends from the 60s at the end of their prime and the next generation crossed over here! West, Wilt, and Oscar and Kareem and Earl the Pearl.
Sixers breaks they rival the Celtics 10th consecutive finals.
knicks must of killed them
It is insane how much is basketball better today. People are delusional about old players and underrating new players 🙄
What is this preamble all about? Loved the ABA but wax lyrical much, Mr. Narrator?
King was simply incredible. Mr Knick.
Frazier, Monroe, Debusschere, Reed, Lucas! 💙 🧡 🏀. To God be the Glory 🙌🏽🙌🏻🙌🏿
Kareem's dunks were just as unimpressive 😴 As the do-or-die sky hook
The Knicks were not an old team. Bradley and Frazier were in their 3rd years. Cazzie Russell was in his 4th year. Reed in his 6th year, the only Knick over 30 was Dick Barnett. The Knicks kicked ass winning in five games by a 113.4 to 103 score. Frazier had a terrible series shooting 35% and averaging only 9.6 points. DeBusschere sucked also shooting under 36% averaging only 12.2 points! Willis was great shooting 54% and 28 a game and Cazzie and Bradley both shot over 50% and Barnett over 49%. For his career Willis Reed won 15 of 21 games against Jabbar despite the Bucks winning 304 games to the Knicks 266 games from 1969 to 1974.
Jumping Joe Caldwell at 6'5" jumped center for the Hawks. Reed led the Knicks with 12 for 19 shooting and 28 points in 39 minutes. Knicks won 128 to 104 and Don Ohl a bench player by then had a great game off the bench for the Hawks with 9 for 10 shooting and 19 points in 17 minutes. Ohl was a 5 time allstar guard with Detroit and Baltimore.
These dunks are shit
This is a joke
This is what not taking steroids does to players
Kareem dunks were actually difficult and impressive
