Driving in wind and rain and storms this morning to a corporate job … this week has felt very dark when I look at recent developments in the news - both in our beautiful country and internationally. This song has however lifted me and allowed me to refocus and know there is a loving and powerful Lord that watches over us. I have felt that cold chill I have not felt since having to face the challenges COVID19 season - but this morning the beautiful words of this mediation has rescued me. Bless you for this song. If you never write another song.. you have given SO many amazing songs to the community of faith we are all a part of - and this one is a classic. Keep going.

God has always been there for me through the dark times. I remember one such time when I was really going through. I was begging God desperately to get me out of a messy situation, and this song helped me to lean into God more through the hurt.

This song has really been blessing me recently. Not only are the words so so powerful… but - wow - musically I just love that chord change around 2:32 into this song… such a lovely inflection. Something that comes from a great songwriter. Another song that makes me cry from “the deep”. 🙏🕊️🙏

My husband and I are going through a major loss of the church, we've been a part of 44 years. This song has been on daily replay for me.

Such a beautiful song!! I'd been reading Romans 8:11 about the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us as believers! And I'm thinking of my family friend who sadly passed away 3 days ago & know that she is home with her heavenly Father who raised her from death to life where she no longer has no sickness or pain, but eternal life in heaven. And I am comforted by God's Spirit that although my earthly body may grow weak, I have this hope found in Christ Jesus that God will take me thru this life to do His will till He too, will call me home to be reunited with loved ones. This song has had a deeper resonance with me this very week - with the passing of a dear friend Steve Legg. It was only a few short weeks ago we were laughing together over a curry and now Steve is in Glory but leaving behind sober and silent friends. Yet again another song that brings tears through its delicate restraint but eternal truths. The words of this song - this very week - have been a meditation of loss, of love and the preciousness of life that God gives and takes away. I will see Steve again in Glory and this song has helped me find perspective through the tears. Thank you.

This song is totally me at a crossroads season in life right now. It's knowing I can't stay where I am or I'll regret holding on to seeds which could rot in my hands, but also knowing that once I sow the seeds, it's praying and cultivating. The world is throwing many signs in our faces these days, and I think I need to let fear go and trust the Lord once and for all. It's time to get to the deep end.
