This is an Interesting method using the star shaped links. But (personally) I feel this is making it way more difficult than it needs to be. It's actually very simple to make this chain just using standard soldered jump rings, assembling one at a time in the traditional manner. But thanks for sharing your different method. Dave

Hi! Sorry, can I ask: what gauge is the wire? As well as, I'm trying to find a good place to get a dragon clasp without needing to make one either with wax or silver clay, and will need to be cautious about the dimensions fitting.

Wow I definitely learned!!! I've not worked with shadow boxes yet so now I can. Your video just popped up I'm glad it did. I've been working with turquoise and silver since 2019. When I was in high school they offered a silver class, it took 30 years later for me to live in my happy place again. I wish I could share some of my work with you to get your input. I will be following you and sharing your videos with others. Thank you sooo much. 🫶

The pattern will be deeper if you use an 80/20 blend of silver from what I have read up on it, but I have always used Sterling and it works great

Hey Timothy: I am so glad that you are back up and running😁👍. I am an amateur silver smith who lives in the Columbus, Ohio area. I use TH-cam to help me learn various silver smithing techniques and tips. Even though I live in the Columbus, Ohio area there are no artists that give lessons, so you and other artist’s video are extremely valuable to me 😁. In this video you asked for suggestions for upcoming projects! I want to make a sterling silver Figaro necklace for my grandson’s high school graduation. I was wondering if you could provide instruction for a 16 gauge and 14 gauge necklace. I am particularly interested in what size mandrel you would recommend for each gauge of wire (mentioned above). From what I understand the Figaro requires two mandrel sizes. I have watched other videos on how to design these bracelets/necklaces but they never provide wire and/or mandrel sizes ☹️. Thanks and keep the great work! Ron Columbus,Ohio

This was a great tutorial! I am curious if you think it would be just as easy to mark your lines from center (for marking the width of thethe floral "petals") while the silver is flat and to also stamp in the indent for the lines as opposed to scribing them out in the putty (doing all this prior to doming). Thank you for taking the time to share this!
