The Rug Addict: Ep. 9 - A Scary Shag
มุมมอง 2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
The Rug Addict Ep. 9 - A Scary Shag This special Halloween spooky clean was a scary ordeal to take on. It needed an exorcism to get it clean. Well, not really, but it matches the Halloween theme. In reality, the customer is moving into a new house at the end of this month and wanted the rug cleaned and the "fluffiness" returned. It had some stains and spots from her dog, who had bladder control...
The Rug Addict: Ep. 8 - The Rug Addict: Orgins
มุมมอง 8733 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a throwback to the first rug that I cleaned as the official Rug Addict. It was a learning experience in everything from the processes I wasn't to use, to how and where is the best place to put the camera. The rug itself was from a model apartment, so it saw a good amount of traffic when people would take a tour of the complex. This rug was a great clean because it's two different piles....
The Rug Addict - Ep 7: Rug Cleaning 101
มุมมอง 7743 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Rug Addict Episode 7- Rug Cleaning 101 In this episode, I walk you step by step through my rug cleaning process. I also explain why I do what I do. This is my most common method, of course it all depends on what type of material the rug is made from and kind of Rug pile they are, but for the most part this is the process I use.
Rug Addict Ep.6 - Small & Stained
มุมมอง 3993 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Rug Addict Episode 6 - Small & Stained This customer had a small outdoor rug that they needed cleaned but figured that it was too small to worry about. I explained there's no such thing, I'll clean any rug any size! This one is a thick pile burlap, so it requires a few different techniques and tools. I also got to break out my old trusty rubber-tipped squeegee! So enjoy this small and stain...
The Rug Addict - Episode 5: Now We're Cooking
มุมมอง 3524 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Rug Addict Episode 5: Now We're Cooking This rug came out of a customer's kitchen so along with it being in a high traffic area it also has all the fun messy stuff that comes along with cooking like grease and spills. Nothing like an extra challenge to test my skills!
Thr Rug Addict - Ep 4 - Rock n' Rug
มุมมอง 3894 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Rug Addict presents Episode 4 - Rock n' Rug This rug is used in a recording studios main room. It's safe to assume that it's seen some incredible things and has the wear to show for it. Like an aging Rock star it's got the stains and scars that come from being in the middle of some great times. They definitely brought it to the right person and I love a challenge. Let's rock!
Rug Addict - Episode 3 - Fancy a Shag
มุมมอง 1.2K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Rug Addict - episode 3 Fancy a shag This particular shag rug was claimed by the family dog. He would always lay or play on it. So it's my job to clean it and get it back into brand new shape.
Rug Addict - Episode 2 - Smoke on the Water
มุมมอง 745 หลายเดือนก่อน
Rug Addict - Episode 2 - Smoke on the Water While at first glance this rug looks pretty clean, it was picked up off of FB Marketplace and it reeked of cigarette smoke. So the goal of this one was to not only give it a good cleaning, but more importantly, make it smell fresh. You can't really tell from the video, but I can promise, mission accomplished!
Episode 1 Quick Edit - Only the Squeegee
มุมมอง 455 หลายเดือนก่อน
By popular demand, here is the squeegee only edit of Episode 1 by the Rug Addict. Even though it's only one step out of many in bringing any rug back to a better than new clean, it's everyone's favorite, including mine. plus it gives me a chance to show off my shiny new squeegee! Enjoy and I thanks, I appreciate everyone's positive comments!
Rug Addict - Episode 1 - Doggy Rug Cleaning - Halftime Speed
มุมมอง 695 หลายเดือนก่อน
Rug Addicts - Episode 1 - The Dog Room Rug - Sped up to halftime. This rug is in Bungo's room, it's one that I actually found at my parents. It was being thrown away and had some miscellaneous stains on it. I've cleaned it before, but of course Bungo has messed it up since then. Rug Addict decided to tackle it and brought it back to better than new clean, soft, and smelling fresh.
Cleaning the puppy rooms stained rug - Full cleaning
มุมมอง 2405 หลายเดือนก่อน
Cleaning the stained rug from the puppy room. This was a rug originally found being thrown away that I now use for Bungo's room. it's covered in miscellaneous stains and urine. How clean can I get it washing it by hand? This is the full clean in real time. Enjoy and thanks.
FB Marketplace Rug Score
มุมมอง 607 หลายเดือนก่อน
I scored this rug off of FB Marketplace. It was pretty clean and didn't have any stains but it reeked of cigarette smoke. I was able to clean and sanitize it and now it smells great. Success! I'll definitely be looking on there more often to try and find more challenges.
Cleaning the office Rug - full version
มุมมอง 1257 หลายเดือนก่อน
This rug was a great clean because it's two different piles. It's got the burlap type backing with tall shag accents. It is a huge rug though, and probably the heaviest one I've dealt with so far. But the end results were great and I'm super happy for the practice.
Scrubbing the office Rug preview AKA - the cliff notes version
มุมมอง 677 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's a preview of my latest step in the journey of owning my own rug cleaning company. I call this the cliff notes version. I'll post the full clean tomorrow, for those that live rug cleaning videos too. And if anyone has any area rugs or mats you need cleaned please reach out.
You should get a centrifuge eventually
@TrendyBromando it's on the list. I'm saving up for a rotary machine right now, then the centrifuge would be next. But the Protima ones are between 5k -10k with some being even more.
ill never understand why people ruin a potentially really good video by fast forwarding through all the footage and uploading it like that. its *way* too fast to find satisfying...
@Uncivil_Dreams the main reason for the sped up pace is time. At normal speed the videos can be over an hour long, and even the most hard core rug cleaning fans probably wouldn't sit through the whole thing. Plus, these are rugs for customers, so I want to include the whole process so they can see everything that goes into cleaning them and why the cost is justified.
You’re able to slow it down.
Excellent job👍
@@AceCarpet thanks!
Please no music ❤
@fatimaclark9606 The full version is more ASMR and doesn't have music. I added it to this edit because it's so sped up it just didn't sound good. Plus, I wanted to give it a Halloween esthetic.
Welcome back! I hope you feel better!
@Hamilton47 I do. My leg is still really tight but I feel much better. Thanks!
👏🏼🔥🔥
glad to see you post again!
Glad to be back. I tore my Achilles tendon and was in a cast for 6 weeks, so that kinda stopped me from being able to clean rugs. I'm just happy to be back to normal. Thanks!
@@krisbonaventure8239 Sorry to hear that! I know that feeling. I broke my collarbone a year ago and was out of worth for months because of surgery. Glad to hear you're better!
@Fattyyyyx I really appreciate it. I'm out of the cast but the dr says it might take up to 6 months to be fully healed. My leg is still really tight when I walk but it's getting better every day. I'm glad your collar bone is better. How long did it take you to be fully healed? The whole 6 months?
Job well done! Unique looking rug! I love your brush scrubbing and the scraper you use is fabulous!! You look cramped in this small space, are you looking for a roomier workspace? 💜
Thanks. Eventually I am going to move into a larger space. But also this was a really big rug. Most rugs I clean fit more comfortably.
Wonderful brush scrubbing and squeegee'ing!! Yes, I agree with the others - you need flooring with a white background, maybe a stretched out white tarp. It would be easier to see the dirt you are scrubbing off! Where is the dirty water draining to? And maybe get yourself some water boots? Looking forward to your next video!! Good luck with your business! 😃😃
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Do you do rug cleaning professionally of just for youtube?
@Fattyyyyx professionally. I'm trying to document starting a business from the ground up. I use the videos to help promote and get the word out. Plus, some customers want to see their rugs getting clean. I only video about 1 rug a week, because it really does slow down the process.
@@krisbonaventure8239 Nice man, Congrats!
Great scrubbing 😊
Thank you! 🤗
Absolutely love the creativity. So needed in this space. Great job
Thanks so much! 😊 I try. I've got a few new ideas for my next video I want to try. Hopefully they'll turn out like I'm imaging.
soo good❤
@@MorningsWithMaria Thanks! I appreciate it.
Would've definitely been more satisfying with a white background, as there was no visible dirt coming off it.
@@allisonjack6539 I agree! I'm working on getting one.
love the manual cleaning portion great scrubbing and scraping and water sounds
Thank you! 🤗
Get A White Tarp & Throw A Little Mud On There 🔥🔥🔥
I do need to use a white tarp, that would help. But these rugs are for customers so I don't want to dirty them up any more than they are.
Beautifully done! Great j9b!
Thanks a lot!
very satisfying ❤
Thank you 😋
Get A White Tarp & Turn TH-cam For Kids Off 🔥🔥
Nice cleaning 🧼🧹 and scraping 😊🎉❤
I think this is my favorite!❤
