I think I actually get what he wanted to go for here. He starts out pretty confident and then get scared and then goes absolutely crazy Then the song concludes with like a resignation that is going to be a long long time

Its been very long since I last saw the movie. I already thought it to be a great work of remastering but I did not realise that you even created the entire spacedock setting. Thats impressive work 👏

Pretty cool. Except when the enterprise ducked under tbe station. That part looks great but never even made sence in the movie.

Disturbing yet strangely compelling

I like this a lot, leaving Spacedock instead of the drydock does feel more right and impressive. I think you did a great job on working the material together. Changing it further so Saavik orders thrusters instead of impulse, and maybe having the pod launch from inside Space Dock for visual inspection would be great, but that's kind of minor and seems outside the scope of this project.

That plaque, that music is one of the best, most inspired moments in that film.

the best deign choice ever: give the ship a long thin neck between its command and engineering section easily damaged and preventing crew and materiel movement up and down in combat, then put a barely protected launcher full of explosives in..THEN put an AIR LOCK on that launcher so some strafing run can bypass what little armour was in place.

Going through a super massive time dilating black hole, get to the other end and this is the greeting: "This is Battlestar Galactica of the Kobal Defence Force to Unidentified Vessel, identify yourself immediately or we will take action" Kirk: "Spock, how much time just got dilated?" Spock: "According to readings....approximately 10,000 years..sir" Mccoy: "If somebody says all this has happened before I'm gonna throw something"

Never understood why Kirk was so nervous about Savvik taking the chair when Sulu was the one doing the actual piloting.

Very nice but it seems the video is sped up slightly. It was hard to watch the Odyssey get destroyed like this... Do you by chance have a torrent link for your upscale? Also are you going to do Voyager too? I wish Paramount would remaster DS9 and Voyager. There's obviously enough demand for it... I think it would sell better than the TNG remastered set.

My biggest gripe with Star Trek's ships is the inside never matches the exterior in terms of size equivalence. When the ship is seen from the outside, particularly the ports and windows, the relative sizes of the windows and the ship as a whole should make the windows much smaller. In other words, the windows should be pins of lights on the ship's hull. For this movie, when Kirk and the crew were outside the Enterprise, they should be like ants on a truck. The FX people do it right with this relative scale for Star Wars.

I think his acting version was pretty damn good, actually. SEEING him do it adds a lot.

Too pure for human ears

This first reached my ears in the 90s as an mp3 file that was shared at music college. I find it funnier without the video for some reason.

Nice effects, however this is self indulgent and takes the viewer out of the story. It's a great tech demo, but a horrible idea to add to the movie. The space dock scenes are meant to inspire wonder. the dutch angles imply something is off/wrong, and the moving camera removes the theatrics of it, which require static shots
