Incredible day hike in Banff - Lake Louise/Agnes, Tea Houses, Plane of Six Glaciers -Choose Kindness
Lake Louise... the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies. I remember seeing pictures of this place when I was a child and knew I had to see it for myself someday. We put together this pretty epic day hike consisting of Little Beehive, Lake Agnes, Plane of Six Glaciers, and two tea houses built way up in the mountains. It was such a cool experience to have tea and snacks up on the trail. I am so excited to share this place with you all.
In this video I share a message of Kindness. Something we can all agree the world needs a little more of these days. The choice to choose kindness, instead of the many other default emotions we may choose. It reminds us of our own true nature, which is love, when we choose kindness. Our kindness can become contagious. Encouraging others to do the same. So smile at that stranger, open that door, give that compliment.

Leah Lake was the goal. Although we did not get to see others, so we will have to save those for another trip. Leah Lake has one of the best backdrops. The color of the lake was incredible. Beautiful video and such a profound reflection-'nothing changes, if nothing changes' really hits home. For me, it’s a reminder that growth and adventure often live on the other side of discomfort. Whether it’s stepping out of a routine, shifting perspective, or, like this hike, pushing through effort to reach something incredible, the reward comes in embracing the process of change. It’s not always easy, but it's always worth it. Thanks for sharing this inspiring journey; Kane Lake is definitely on my list now!

I watched this getting emotional, tears in my eyes because I spent 5 summers on the Death Canyon trail crew in the late 70s. We lived in the Death Valley Ranger station and later in the summer moved farther up the canyon in a big canvas tent. The guys, the camaraderie, the beautiful scenery, and the hard but fulfilling work. One time we were working on the Death Canyon shelf trail and a thunderstorm blew in. We all took shelter under trees except our foreman Burt, a Cherokee from Oklahoma. I can still picture him swinging his mattock with lightning flashing all around us. We yelled at him, “Burt, get under a tree before you get hit by lightning.” He reluctantly did, that guy was such a hard worker, we all respected him immensely. We worked 10-4, work ten days get four days off and what did we do on our days off? First go into Jackson to the Cowboy or Rancher bar and hoist a few beers and then go back out and hike the Teton Trails. We loved that area so much. I hiked all the trails in this vid in those five summers.

Ohhh man! I'm so excited for you. We used the "melt your skin" 100% deet. I highly recommend grabbing a face bug net as well as the bug net canopy. It's only 20-30$. We saved some hikers lives on our way out and gave them our bug canopy as they were going into the Cirque😅
