Moe's Reason for Clubhead behind ball at address
question from comment section:
@LingoLance I can’t find why he addresses the ball so far away
This video answers the question as to why Moe placed the clubhead different distances behind the ball depending on the club he was using.

    The GOAT addressed the ball with his hands ahead of the back of the ball. So much so, that he had to be using a putter with 9-10 degrees loft. Do that with todays putters( 2-4 degree loft) and we would be driving the ball into the ground. Have to do some hosel bending to putt like the GOAT.

    • @scienceofgolf

      You want zero loft at ball impact; this produces true roll. Since virtually every putter has loft, you have to put your hands ahead of the ball.

      The grip was taken in the lifeline of Moe's right hand. This gave him a SINGLE-AXIS between his right forearm and the shaft. This made his right hand a hammer with a substantIally squarer clubface at ball impact. MOE NEVER SWUNG ON A SINGLE PLANE' HE HAD AND ANGLE BETWEEN HIS LEFT FOREARM AND THE SHAFT; IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ROTATE TWO-AXIS ON SINGLE-PLANE.

    The point is that hitting straight shots, finding fairways and hitting greens is incredibly hard to do. Unless you use a simpler technique based in logic and science. Moe was the unconscious genius and Jack is the conscious teacher who made Moe’s genius understandable. Even Moe said that Jack was the only person who could explain to him how he could hit straight 100% of the time.

    • @scienceofgolf
      @scienceofgolf 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Moe knew how. He did not know why. What he called his "magic move" at the start of downstroke is not the mechanical motion that accounted for his accuracy and distance. Moe's mechanics from waist high in the downstroke to waist high in the follow through is what accounted for the accuracy and distance. I missed it 25 years. It was the Eureka (I have found it) moment that happend in January of this year.

      Negotiating this with Wally Uihlein was a highlight of my promises to help Moe become financially independent.

      Telling the truth about Moe and our relationship is my committment to him. It is very hard to get the truth out. The number of Moe scammers grows every day. One scammer even plagerized my Fireside Chat with Moe.

      You were friends with Moe that is deeper than a mechanical relationship. I have meet several people who claim to know Moe and they all talk about the type of person he was first then golf always good things this speaks volumes of the man. PGA should apologize to Moe's family for what they did to him.

    Your devotion to the analytical explanation of Moes accuracy is admirable.

      As a high IQ scientist teaching golf, when I make a new discovery, it is my obligation to let it be known; even though it took 25 years of studying his mechanics to see the thing I missed.

    I just came across this gem of a video, Dr. Kuykendall. I have a few questions: You mentioned in the video that at the top of the swing, the elbow should be bent at around 100 degrees for best results. When exactly does the bent elbow straighten out? Is it just before impact? Is it at impact when it straightens completely? Or is it just after impact that the lead arm is fully straightened?

      @scienceofgolf 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The forearm of the left arm straightens as you start the downstroke. The left arm wil be straight by the time the left arm is just below shoulder height.

    Where did you get that shot of the ball on the tee that is crazy what makes it better is he did it all the time

    • @scienceofgolf

      Moe said his record without touching the tee was 135 strokes. I had these photos shot at Pine Needles during the day. The Fireside chat was that night by the fireplace.
