Did ya finish it?
Im making it. In pink!!
hope you're doing well bev!
You got this Bev!!!
Hi Bev and good to hear from you. I'm sorry you've been having problems with your caregiver. I've also been battling a small weight gain, due to having extreme pain the past couple of weeks. First, my right knee, which needs to have a total replacement, started causing me pain again. So, I've got appts scheduled now to get some more hyaluronic acid injections (which have been helping me the past year 1/2). However, I think compensating for that pain, has caused me to get my back out of alignment, and I now have extreme pain in my lower left back, hip and front of my thigh. I am having trouble walking because of it. And also makes it hard to exercise on my stationary bike. So, I've gained a couple of pounds back. 😞 You and I have to just keep at it and not give up. (((HUGS)))
I refuse to give up. I am going to gwt this weight off. Just have to get in a better frame of mind. Sorry to hear about your knee and back. I had a total knee replacement and it changed my life cause there was no pain. I am trying to get back to my walking the hall even if it is the short one just to move a little. Good luck with your weight loss.
Hi Bev! Thanks for the update. I know you got behind with this 66 before 67 because of what happened with your apartment complex. So, I'm sure it's going to be hard to get caught up. But you can do it!!!
Oh Bev! How awful for you! I'm glad you survived this latest ordeal without too much trouble... AND you didn't even gain any weight! I sure hope you can get your hemoglobin back up though. Take care.. and TFS! 💕
HI Bev. Good to hear from you! So sorry you were put through the last 2 weeks of frustration. I'm glad you and your regular oncologist are on the same page, as far as what you can eat. But, I'm confused. You have said in the past that you do not get the feeling of being full or feeling hungry, correct? So, why then do you have issues with how large your meals are? You mentioned in this video that the meals in the food box were really small. If you don't get the feeling of being hungry, then the size of the meal shouldn't bother you. Just an observation, from what you have told me. No judgement here (I have my own issues with eating). I do agree with you, that 1800 cals a day for a person your size and activity level (who is trying to lose weight) is too many. I am a big believer in calories in vs. calories out. You probably don't need more than 1400 cals a day, at the very most. Do you keep track of your calories every day? I use an app called "Lose It" which is free (for the basic level) just to count my calories and my exercise. Oh, and I also track how much water I'm drinking. It's amazing how calories add up, without us realizing how many we're getting. I measure and weigh everything I eat. If you aren't doing that, you really can't get an accurate count of your calorie intake. Every time I stop measuring and weighing my food, thinking I can just eyeball it... I start gaining again! So, please keep that in mind. Thanks for posting and take care.. Sending lots of positive energy to you. 💕
Good for you! 2 pounds a week is great.
Hi Bev! I'm glad your procedure didn't go too bad and that you were totally "knocked out" while they were doing it. I've heard that those bone marrow tests are very painful. Bummer though, that you had a bad reaction to one of the meds they gave you. I sure have issues with lots of meds, so I understand! I also hope that the outcome of the tests isn't a problem. Sending more positive energy to you. I hope you get your videoing set up to where you can show us more of your crafty projects you've been working on! I've been doing a lot of slow stitching lately. But arthritis in my hands is slowing me down some. Also, some how I hurt my right foot (I woke up to find a large bruise on the top of it) and so I decided I better not do my regular exercise routine today. I took the day off from that. Hope it doesn't affect the scale. I'm still struggling to keep from eating more than I really need to eat. But I haven't gained, so that's a good thing. I just wish I'd start losing again. Thanks for the update! 💕
They told me if I ever need to have that one drug again they can give me something to help with the effects I had. My daughter told me when the doctor came in the recovery room I told him he gets to live. Do not remember that. LOL I am hoping to find that little piece or I will need to order it from Amazon or Walmart soon so I can use my phone and tripod. I would like to staty showing off what I am doing. I hope your foot gets better quickly. I get bruises all the time and do not know why but some of it is my blood disorder. I know about Arthritis. Pain in the you know what. My hands hurt but I found the more I use them, the less they hurt. I am hoping I do not have to have the shots every day if it shows bad numbers. Praying a lot. Keep thinking of you
She reminds me of my Aunt Sharon. just an all around nice lady.
what were you trying to test with this ma'am
idk
Hi Bev! Oh, I'm so sympathetic about the anxiety issue. I have trouble with that myself. And yes, sometimes I eat too much because it too. I'm so glad you didn't let it stop you. You did the right thing, by just telling yourself that it's a new day, and, then to start over to eat right. Congrats on the weight loss. Good luck with the procedure tomorrow. 💕
Hi Bev. Hope you're doing ok. 2 Mondays have gone by and you haven't posted a new video. Hope to hear from you soon. 💗
HI Bev! Congrats on your continued weight loss! So sorry about your lab results. No wonder you are so weak and tired. I sure hope they figure out why you're so anemic and then I hope they can do something to correct it. Sending more healing energy to you. Hang in there! 💕
Thank you. I am hoping too they can find what is doing this.
Hey - great to see you posting, Bev! Wonderful news about your weight loss - girl, I need to get on that weight loss bandwagon, too. I would love to make it to between 150-175 lbs - that's my ideal. Sorry about your anemia and your blood. I'll be praying for you that your body make enough blood cells to sustain your body. I pray nothing serious is found to be going on in you. May you get good news from your bone marrow. Glad to know you're still crafting - I hope when you do your future updates that you also update us on what you're making - let us see what you've been working on.
Thank you for your prayers. I just need to put it in God hands. I will try to let all see what I am working on. It is the reason I stay our of the kitchen. LOL
Hi Beverly. This usually happens with us crafters. So many ideas and so little time to do them all. What I do and you will see in my videos. I now make things to give to others. That's the only way I can clear things out. This makes me super happy. Plus now I can make videos for TH-cam of the things I made. Hopefully, it gives inspiration to others. It's a win-win situation. It's good to set a goal and get it done - one craft at a time. I hope I get to see what you have made in due time. Thanks for sharing. - Nancy ❤
Congrats Bev! Good job! I didn't get a notification, so sorry I didn't comment sooner.
That is okay. Figured you were busy or something. Wait till you see todays update. 😀
Thanks for the update Bev. Oh wow.. you've still got that same old computer that you have had so much trouble with? I hope you can replace it sometime soon. Oh, I love avocados too! But yeah.. even though they do add bulk, they sure are high in calories (and good fat). I haven't had any in months. Plus they're kind of expensive and it's hard to find a good one (at least in my grocery stores!). I'm so glad you are able to get home delivery of your groceries.. That's one good thing that came out of the pandemic, everyone is doing home deliveries now. What does your Dr(s) say about your water consumption? I have to force myself to drink enough water. But it sure does make a difference in my weight loss! Now, since you don't feel hunger, and, you have certain conditions that your Dr may want you to limit the fluids, maybe this doesn't apply to you. I've managed to increase my daily intake of water to at least 48 oz, sometimes more. Yep, I do eat out of boredom too. That's why I've found I have to stick to counting calories and documenting every single piece of food (or drink) that I put in my mouth. My main problem is that I'm literally addicted to chocolate. I do only eat dark chocolate, but yeah.. it's a problem for me. Take care and remember that I'm here rooting for you.. and keep craftin! ❣
My kidney doctor told me to only drink to satisfy thirst. Even thiugh I am in stage 3 kidney failure I have been that way now for 12 years. So I am trying to be good. Quit Diet Pepsi 15 years ago so that is in my favor. He is hoping with my weight loss I will get some control over my kidneys and bladder. I go see my oncologist next week for major blood work. Keeping finger cross no transfusion or bone marrow extraction. I know what you mean about chocolate. I eat 3 or 4 MMs about 4 or 5 times a day. Plus I still suck on a sucker while I am painting or sewing to keep me from wanting to eat what I should not. As of today my daily calorie count has been around 1100 calories a day. I miss having chips cookies or cheese and crackers. But can not lose weight eating that. And as I said, I will not use drugs, surgery, or do any fad diet. I need to do this as a way of life. Will keep you in heart and mind as days go by. Knowing just one person is watching is making me more determined to succeed. Take care Rooting for you too.
Hello ☺️ I admire the determination you have on your weight loss journey! Keep working hard! New buddy to help you grow on TH-cam! Let's do this together!
HI Bev! I've been SO concerned about you the past 2 years (since whenever you posted a video last). I was afraid something awful happened to you, girl! I started a new weight loss journey just about a year ago. My motivation first and foremost was all the pain I was in at the time. I even had days where I hurt so bad I could not walk. About the same time this was going on, I started watching a TV show called "My 600 lb Life". Have you ever watched that show? Although I do not agree with all of Dr Now's methods, I was intrigued how anyone that obese could actually only eat 1200 calories a day! But many of the people on his show did just that. I thought to myself (if someone that large - and most much taller than myself) can do it, so can I. So, I decided to try sticking to a 1200 calorie a day limit. I'm only 5 ft tall and when I started last year, I weighed 240 lbs (which is morbidly obese). I ate whatever I wanted each day, as long as I stayed within the 1200 calorie limit. At the beginning I could do any real exercise. So, according to what I found online, 1200 calories for someone my size and height was not a crazy number. I found an app which helped a lot too, it's called "LoseIt" which makes it really easy to track all the food I eat each day, my exercise and my weight. Don't get me wrong.. it was really rough (and still is most days) but I stuck to it and the weight started falling off. I also was going to physical therapy, to improve my core strength, and that helped. As the weight started coming off, I was able to do more exercise and that really helped. I did reach a point, several months ago, where my metabolism started to slow down, and I had to add in a few more calories once in a while. Then, I discovered on the app, that I could add in calories if I did enough exercise and I still lost weight. But of course, over time, the weight loss has slowed down. But so far, I've lost 70 lbs (in just under a year's time). I really should lose another 30 - 40 lbs to get down to what a 'normal' weight for someone my height and age should weigh. But OMG, Bev... the difference in my energy! I can do SO much more AND it has taken such a strain off my bad knee and crooked spine! So, do NOT give up.. whatever you do. Even if you screw up one day and eat too much... just start over the next day. And, do some type of exercise, even if you can only do sitting arm exercises. I bet, if you do lose a significant amount of weight you'll have more energy and not as much pain, no matter what your diagnosis is. Good luck! And please fill your followers in on what has happened the past 2 years. I was so worried you were taken out by COVID or something.
Hi Gail My health is what got in my way. I think I will do a video later today to explain the last two years. Thank you so much for posting. It made me smile
I am doing the same project is 70 x 88 holes the whole plastic canvas sheet
Thanks for the good words, Bev. I made a Barbie doll house over the pandemic myself!
Hi, Bev. I just wanted to check in and see how you’re doing. I used to watch all your videos even though I’m bad at leaving comments. I thought of you today and just wanted to see if you’re okay. I hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year’s!
Hi Jennifer I am doing okay now. My health took a bad turn and plus I had a very serious about with depression. I'm doing better now and and fact I am getting ready to make another video or two to let people know I am still alive. LOL thank you for your concern I hope you had a great holiday also.
Hey Bev - awesome to see your progress on the camper. Lookin good so far - I can't imagine myself doing something like this, but it seems interesting and I can't wait to see the finished product. I'm guessing it should be halfway done or more since this video was put up in March and you said you would be decorating this and the doll house by the holidays, so share the progress at this stage. Take care. God bless.
I was just thinkin about you and decided to check your channel to see if you uploaded anything. Nice to see you put some content out. Glad you are still keepin busy with all your projects - can't wait to see the camper finished. Seems like a huge thing to keep you occupied. Sorry the people in your building are still being crazy, but that's life.
How is it going cant wait to see it can you show more of the projects you have done in that past!!!!!!!
I love it! Looking for the book could you show more on how to put it together!
Did you ever finish it???
I had to stop working on it for a while because of my health. I have started back working and I have the floor almost done. I am hoping to start up my TH-cam channel again to show my progress. The post very soon.
Haha I got projects too. Soo many all at once
Plastic canvas doll furniture is so fun an tedious to make! Free patterns on Facebook groups
Great project, can't wait to see it as you get things done. tfs
Bev, in a way, I'm glad you don't have people coming into your home to 'help' you.. with what is going on with the COVID-19 risks. And, I don't know about your area, but there are many, many areas in our country that are now having people hoarding all sorts of groceries, including meat and other perishable foods. Maybe you can barter with other residents in your building and trade some of the food that you know you will not use, for things you will use. Good luck to you, sending lots of positive energy to you. Stay safe.
I am in Idaho and we as of yet do not have the virus here. I have what I need so I do not need to hoard anything. Since I only eat fresh I do not think I will run out of anything. Went to the Winco yesterday and there must have been at least 300 people there shopping. I got my 5 gallons of water for me to drink and my 4 gallons of distill water. One person said distill water taste nasty. I told him I would not know cause it for my CPAP machine. They had 8 cases of bottle water in their basket. I am just taking it one day at a time. Hope all is well with you and yours.
@@craftinbev7114 LOL about the person's comment on distilled water! Yes, that is something I need to have for my CPAP too. I'm glad you were able to find what you needed at the store. I did as well, the past two weeks.. But I'm hearing that now the stores are really low on the basics. So, it's a bit scary!
Glad to see you!
I suppose it's too expensive to have a delivery service bring your food to you? Or, do any of your stores even have that service?
Aw, sorry to hear you are having such a hard time lately, Bev. Regarding the sweeping, can you vacuum instead? Or, at least vacuum up what you swept into a pile? Where there is a will, there is a way. I totally understand why you would go off of your "diet". Diets don't usually work anyway. I thought this was how you were eating anyway.. I didn't know you actually were limiting yourself, as in a diet. Well, sending you lots of positive energy.
Great to see you and know you’re still on track. Nice to know you got to meet some family too
You can really see the difference in your face! Great going.
Congrats on having such strong resolve. Dont let what the one helper says...she just doesnt have the same style as you. She isnt going to change you! Keep moving forward! Love ya!
hi Bev! So glad to SEE you again! I was worried your health had worsened. I know all about the depression issue. I've had a bad 4 months or so. One of my beloved dogs died in Sept. and that didn't help at all. So, did you get a different computer? Or is your old one still hanging in there? Congrats on getting into a much smaller size! Woo Hoo! Oh wow, regarding you being on the floor. I would have a huge problem getting back up too, if I had done that. It is really aggravating to not be able to get up and down, like I use to. Glad you figured out how to get back up on your feet! Hope you are back next week. Happy New Year!
Hi Bev! Oh.. you too with the arthritis pain? Yep.. now that the weather has turned cold, I've really been suffering. But I have to take tylenol arthritis strength every day and when it's bad like it is right now, I usually take at least one Ibuprofen too. I don't think I'd be able to walk if I did take these OTC pills. I also take glucosamine chondroitan daily, as well as turmeric. It's just the way it is. But kudos for you for not taking anything.. wow! Congrats on your continued weight loss too!
Keep a smile on your face! See you soon.
HI Bev! Congrats on your continued weight loss! I'm so sorry you are having more medical problems. Sending more positive, healing energy to you.
So glad you have a new care giver. And great job on your weight loss. See you next video.
Thank you we'll see how these new caregivers go but they're better than what I had before.
Congrats on your continued weight loss! Oh, I'm so glad you fired that person! Your swearing didn't bother me a bit.. although I WAS surprised! ;-)
Well done Bev!!! And yes, some caregivers don't know their place. I think what you asked was very reasonable and could have been handled by her much differently. Looking forward to next update!
Sorry for the loss of your grandkitty.
Hi Bev! Congrats on your wt. loss. So sorry about your daughter's cat. That's why they say you shouldn't let cat's outdoors (at least off leash). But I know that is difficult in many situations. My dad just got a cat and he wants her to be able to go outside too. He lives on 10 acres in the country, but the cat can easily get on the road. Oh hey, do you have any good ideas on how to minimize all the kitty litter particles from getting all over outside the litter box? My dad hates that. We have the litter box in his bathroom right now. Anyway, I sure can tell, in your face, that you are losing! Woo hoo!
They have special mats that you can put in front of the cat litter to help minimize a cat litter particles but I find them to be a waste of money for me. My cats seem to jump over the mat to avoid it. The only other suggestion I can give you is to use of very fine powdery type of litter. They do have some new litter that supposed to be dust free and doesn't come out of the box as much but it can be expensive. Hope your dad enjoys his new cat. And thank you for the compliment. For me is that my pants are starting to fall off of me and I find that very exciting. Lol
So sorry for your losses. Sounds like your care giver needs a care giver herself!
I desperately need to find a different caregiver but they just don't have any available
I’m so sorry to hear about ‘little man’. It hurts to lose a pet!!!
