Glen Campbell's Amazing Guitar Solos!
มุมมอง 836K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Some of the best compilations of Glen Campbell's incredible guitar solos have to be seen to be believed...As a young child in the mid 70's I like most everyone was captivated by the song Rhinestone Cowboy and many other songs sung by Glen. But what I (and I'm sure many others) never knew was (until one time in the early 80's I turned on the TV and saw Glen Campbell playing guitar and totally sh...

Blue Angels February Practice Feb. 2020 Filmed using a Sony AX53 and Sony A6600 Please forgive the sometime's camera shakiness. I wear glasses and have to take them of to film blind through the tiny Sony ax53 view finder that kills me around my eye's because of the hard plastic :( Yeah yeah I know..I miss spelled "Practice" in the title. I guess I was too much in a hurry :(

All that BeachBoys stuff Remarkable ! 🙌🏼
Every time I see something about Glen Campbell. It reminds me of how I screwed up as a kid. I had a chance to learn guitar lessons from a friend of mine uncle who was a guitar tech for glen.
He had technical chops, BUT ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE, DIDACTIC AND BORING. That's why Rolling Stone panned him. But, I studied under Joe Pass from about 71-73, THAT MF COULD PLAY. I had a Glen Campbell girlfriend from bout 71-83 (Lorrie Paich), so I actually knew a lil about him hanging out with Larry McNeeley. He cut off his first children, writing them out of the will and he whored relentlessly in Vegas while at the International. Was a dangerous speed freak the whole time, the black beauties his entourage used were legendary.
Glen, Fantastic and awesome!
Amazing
Toss up between Glen and Roy Clark!
Amazing…..❤️❤️❤️
I'll be over here burning my guitars
Love his love oh so wide guitar straps. Anybody know the name of the tune at 8:16. Sounds familiar but i cant seem to place it.
Stunning
I saw mr. Campbell live on his last tour. He had some troubles remembering the set list but absolutely soared during his solos. Thanks for everything glen, rest in peace.
I had no idea. Knew he had a few mellow hit songs but never knew he could tear it up like he does here. Man's definitely got skills. Or had skills 😢.
He also was a temporary Beach Boy for one tour, was a studio musician with the Wrecking Crew and friends with Alice Cooper.
He is not mentioned because he doesn’t play the junky stuff they play today, they don’t recognize talent when they see it.
What can ya say? One of the greatest, for sure. Thank you, Glen.
That William Tell Overture on twelve string was spectacular!
Watching Glen grow old and pass away was extremely difficult to deal with, I miss Glen, he will never be surpassed, ever.
Getting to see him live is a memory to cherish. He worked the crowd perfectly.
He made the strings sound natural, without cheating with special effects pedals.
What about Jerry Reed? I wonder what they thought of each other?
The greatest of the unrecognized. It's easy to be bombastic like Ritchie Blackmore,Jimi Hendrix or Jimi Page, don't get me wrong, they are great, but they were/are guitar superheros, while Glen was a country crooner, nobody expected a Spiderman on the guitar. Great man,so sorry he's gone
One thing Campbell had in common with rock guitar players..the love of cocaine.
Glen Campbell , roy Clark could put any of the rock guitarists to shame. Howard roberts was a dirty guitar player.
Wow!!
Amazing!
I like his impersonation of Ted Nugent with the overhead guitar
Lord have mercy there are so many guitarists better than Hendrix, Clapton and all that decency bias…you just have to look beyond the overhyped and over drugged pop music and rock -they are there -Jerry rice, tal farlow, Mindel Lowe, etc etc.
Just plain magical!
TOTALLY A MASTER, FROM A MEMBER OF THE IMFAMOUS WRECKING CREW, THEN A TREMENDOUS SOLO CAREER, A SAD ENDING, BUT A TREMENDOUSLY GREAT GUITARIST, SINGER AND SONG WRITER,
An amazingly talented artist.
7:07 Glen and Roy Clark playing together on one guitar!!! Must See TV !!!
The boy from Arkansas.
Couldn’t read music. Had NO need.
Glen Campbell is not that good. He's average, that's about it. I can play better than this shite and I ain't above average.
Unfortunately, you have NO VIDEO EVIDENCE of your amazingly average guitar prowess on your 100% video-less TH-cam channel. Get outta here, you Rolling Stone Magazine Rock Journalist type!
If Campbell is average and you are average, then why do you rate yourself as BETTER THAN GLEN CAMPBELL?
Even if you were better than Glen Campbell, going around saying "I'm better than Glen Campbell" is just plain tacky!
@@voronOsphere I wouldn't do a video cos I'm not good enough. But I'm definitely better than him 😝
@@voronOsphere Nah, it's just a way of pointing out that anyone who thinks G C was a world class guitarist is deluded. His playing was wooden, without feel and simply isn't worth listening to. Saying I can play better than him isn't me saying that I'm particularly good, it's me saying he was pretty abysmal if even I can do better than him .
Remember he started out as a session guitar player in LA with the infamous Wrecking Crew" group of session artists. Amazing that he couldn't read music.
How about Jim Stafford?
Chills
I wished Terry Kath and Glen Campbell could have made music together....just wow!
Very underrated!
Wow! I had no idea. This is awesome!
90% of All the guitar greats are dead and gone now. Dicky Betts died a few weeks ago.
His fingers look like a hummingbird up and down that neck.
Simply the best no peers
What a rare talent he was. Glen will be missed for eternity. Love you Glen.
One of the greatest.
That tune @1.15...Glen plays that at 4x faster than the original..
The man blows people’s socks off ,……after his death ,..mine included.
2:15 Ha ha ha.... You missed a note!
Probably the best and most underrated guitarist of our time.
But not of his…in his day he was the man.
Glen probably thee most underrated guitarist of all time. Eddie van Halen asked Alice cooper if he could arrange guitar time with Glen. Alice was friends and neighbors with Glenn. The best knew how great glen was. And he played banjo to bagpipes. Amazing musician!!!!🎸👍🎶☮️
It would have been awesome for Glen and Eric to have collaborated in some way.
The country pickers of the 60's and 70's will wear the shine off any of the "rock" pickers of the same era or later.
