Bro all tha emc crap is a waste of time a couple months ago we did a swap and everything work fine but we put a Weber carb on a 97 geo tracker left the emc for the lights and instrument crap and i can tell you even the timing on distributor works and i can say a big difference by swapping to carp nothing to it with header and lighter flywheel and gd clutch kit and a 272 can from Delta cam regrind .I myself next year working on my but with honda parts skunk 2 intake manifold injector po8 EMC half geo and honda distributor and rock and roll tune emc po8 and reason for it is because give more power and torque and real simple set up nothing fancy plus with honda parts a lot more can be done and cheaper in many ways.More reliable not that many vacuums hoses and crap like that real simple distributor 200 dollars intake manifold plate 80 the rest junkyards parts wires around 180 dollars all ready made to hook up emc tune streets boys Hondas gamers jjjj plug in and play around with it and bingo really cheap set up

That is so much more complicated than what I did to my 4 door tracker with YJ springs and 85 Yota axles. I stayed in line with the frame and stock axle spring perches. I have it all on Photobucket. I think I can let you link to it as a guest, but a lot of it would need explanation along with the pics. I might build another one soon, and if I do, I'll video ALL of it. I started with a 2 wheel drive automatic and put a Samurai T-case behind the tranny. Man oh man,,, I have to find a way to put those pics into a comprehensive DIY. I'll try this share link Photobucket gave me. There's Tranny mount mod, Yota IFS steering gear box, Yota over the top steering, Chevy Astro van power steering pump. Thanks for the video. I have complete a 96 2 door 4wd manual that is rotten. I picked up a very clean 95 2 door 4wd automatic with a bad transmission. Both 16v. I've read there are some differences between 96 and up and 95 and older. Do you think the 96 donor will work? Not at all concerned with check engine light or backup lights. Thanks again

Thank you for making the video. I watched it several times to prepare for the job. Mine has a second choke cable that was in the way of the valve cover coming off, so I had another step to deal with. The torque value for the 8mm valve cover bolts is 80-106 inch pounds. (Not foot pounds.) I was recommended to torque to the lowest value first, so set them at 80 inch lb with the new valve cover gasket. Because the new gasket is rubbery and thick, the low setting of 80 in lb felt fairly tight so I'm leaving it there and will check them after about a week of driving, to see if they should go a little higher/tighter. 93 in lb would be right in the middle between 80 and 106 in lb. I thought I would go to 93 in lb, but since 80 in lb with the new thick gasket feels pretty tight, I'm stopping there for now.

Thank you very much for posting this. I was looking under my '24 outback wilderness and found two D rings welded to the frame just in front of the front wheels. I was told (via the internets) these welded rings were tie downs were for shipping and whatnot and to not try to pull out the car with them. They don't look real sturdy. I was questioning whether using both eye bolts at the same time would be a safer way to pull the car up the side of a hill from the suctioning mud. From what you said, using them both at once may not be that much easier on the car. I also bought a decent come-a-long or manual winch to help get myself out but that can only pull so hard and if there's nothing to tie off to, then it's uselss. Where or how would a tow truck pull the Subaru up the side of a hill from the suctioning mud below? I would think any truck with a good enough winch could do the same thing. Keep the videos coming!

Mine corroded about a foot up my positive battery cable.. I need to replace the cable sometime.. I just sprayed it with corrosion cleaner and cleaned up the post..not had issue since a couple years ago.. I like my XL7 .. I have an 03 Limited.
