The Bible DOES NOT condone hitting children. Most Christians are taking this Bible verse out of context just so they can put their hands on their kids. 💔 The rod = God's word and protection, and the staff is for guidance and comfort. It does 𝙉𝙊𝙏 mean to hit. People just passing their childhood trauma onto their kids. It's just 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙪𝙢𝙖 and sadly the cycle continues because people in this world masked hitting a child as cultural and normal. It is NOT normal! 'Whooping/spanking is 𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚. 💔😥

This is so timely for me. I have been listening to the audio Bible in chronological order. I have been stuck here today. I can’t seem to go on as I have had 1 chronicles 21 and 2 Samuel 24 on replay from morning. Specifically about the angel of the LORD and the threshing floor of Ornan. May I be teachable in this moment and get all that the Lord is teaching me. Amen.

Matthew 26: 20 When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve. 21And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” 22 And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?” 23 He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me.
