Corridors for Site Grading
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
This month, Shelby Smith, CIM Manger for JMT, and Expert Elite, presented this excellent session on site grading using Civil 3D corridors. She goes over the pros and cons of the typical feature line process and this process. If you haven't used corridors for site grading, or you've thought about it and don't know where to start, this is a great introduction.
Updates to Autodesk's Reality Capture tools
มุมมอง 66ปีที่แล้ว
This month had a presentation full of updates coming from Autodesk around their Reality Capture tools. We got to see some of the tools and updates, such as extracting linear features from a point cloud and decimating the point data for consuming into other software without losing fidelity of the surface.

do you have a video on making your own assemblies?
www.youtube.com/@InfrastructureModelingPro
I am very happy to have watched this video)
What would be the best way to export to DEM with the goal of capturing curb gutter geometry i.e. the shape and size of the street gutter? I've already modeled the curb and gutter to the DEM, but I wonder what is the best way to import it into HEC-RAS. Thank you
Hey Stacey, Can you explain how to pick a surface from a list (of all available surfaces in a drawing) rather than a specific name? Is that possible?
Wow, somebody else who sees the value of corridor grading designs. I've been doing this for years and I go back a ways. I use still feature lines in my grading but it's more of a "hybrid" combination with corridors, also knowing assembly's and how they interact is a must, good stuff Shelby!! 👍
brilliant idea, tks for sharing
Really great video. Lots of info and concepts to try. Would like more on the profiles controlling the variation in the assemblies. Thank you.
YOU ARE THE BEST YOU DESERVE MANY CONGRATULATIONS
Great write up, but when you re-opened the shared exported dwg and placed the (32 min mark) you went quickly about how you made the new axis lines. I would have thought that since it is now using the shared coord, the 0,0 point would be way off the page, like it should, yet yours are shown back in the center of your structure. Did you paste them back at the original origin point from the previous export model? Thanks,
How to make custome subassemly for driveways and footpath used in this video? Any way to download and install in my PC?

Great Mam
Good Afternoon Rafael, You highlighted all the difficulties I am having with Civil 3D 2021 etc. I always manage to make this version of the software work and sometime with frustration. Autodesk is imposing too much strain on Civil 3D users. Our Project managers do not understand why we are taking so much time in design and why we are constantly Recovering, Purging and Auditing files that are damaged when Civil 3D should do the design automatically. I learned Civil 3D using a tutorial I brought from Autodesk and I constantly refresh my knowledge. I have been using C3D for more then 8 years end it is getting from good to bad to worst. If I could have one suggestion, it would be for Autodesk to provide a full and in-depth tutorial at no cost. This tutorial would teach Civil 3D user how to properly use the latest version of Civil 3D 2022.2 in Pressure Network design instead of doing an overview and letting us the pain to discover on our own how to use it.
can you help me, make a simple highway pavement subassembly, make a pkt file(derisaputra68@gmail.com)
Could you share some example pkt files ( especially difficult and including more events like decision /valid target ( wall-transcision etc.) ) thanks...
What about converting existing closed plines into view frames in civil3d
I've searched and there are some lisps on the swamp forum. However, they don't work very well with a different UCS. I'm trying to find a solution. Please let me know if you find a way! And thanks Adam for the video
Good work.. I am looking for civil 3D developer trianing course, do you have course or online ?
I want that too. Any suggestion?
me too please, any suggestion?
Just subbed, about to check out some of your other videos!!! You need more views! Have you ever looked into using SMZeus . c o m!?? You could use it to help get your videos higher in the search results.
Thanks for going over this, I think that PS data didn't used to go through xref as I remember that was an issue I had when they first implemented this for C3D in 2017, thanks for checking on that!
thanks,teacher
Thanks for sharing
Nice job Stacey!
