Absolutely beautiful place.

Another great day on the water and probably the last time I use the Mavic. I'm just not happy with the video or picture quality.

Great
Been researching a lot, is this one good in comparison to the Drotto?
Where do I get
chewed the shit out of my fiberglass bass boat....... loved how it worked but dug out the fiberglass over time.
Darn I wondered what that loop / hook was for on my boat..,,,, I used to hold onto it when I am in the water cooling of and doing some light under boat cleaning ha ha
how long did it take?
Since Keel Guard has been installed, would you still recommend it? How does it look on boat?
bar be que
How well did the soundproofing help?
Hey Ronnie TV, we like the locking mechanisms you installed, did you happen to do a video on that? Do you happen to have a link as to where you purchased them? ThanX 👍 Scooby Doo
Need to have a line tied to the bow of the boat.
What for? After the boat locks into the ramp n clamp I get off the boat from the bow, hook up the safety chain and exit the ramp.
What drink holder is that??
Something I got off Amazon for around $20 check for a cup holder that connects to a ram mount. A larger one is available for about $30.
Is that orwood resort
Yes
@@ronnietv8692 I saw you said that at the end. Lol
Is this the HO or SVHO model?
Both Waverunners are ho models.
Anything you don’t like about your gp ho??
@@everyonelovesfriday2045 I sometimes wish I would have bought the SVHO but more often wish I would have gotten another FX instead. The description ls are accurate. If you want a fast and responsive ski the get an 1800. If you want a comfortable drier ride get the FX.
I'm in the same boat right now. Trying to decide between GP HO or the FX Cruiser HO.. I see your GP got to 65, what does the FX top out at?
@@mikekappatos2719 The FX tops out at 59 mph. If you want performance go with the GP, if you want a more comfortable/ drier ride get the FX.
Hey Ronnie, curious to why you went with the double, single engine Lateral Thrusters instead of the twin engine setup. Why did you switch from the Mega Fangs?
mine will bounce off 72mph w a passenger when the chop is smotth , love my 21 gp1800r , will be out looking for some waves to jump durning this Elsa storm on its way
How did you get yours to 72 that’s crazy
@@noahtoombs9351 prob removed the limiter.
I need a bimini for my 2009 yamaha 232 limited. My tower looks the same. Who made your bimini?
I have long side bunks and stern end side rollers and power my 17' tracker targa onto my trailer into the ramp n clamp by myself for 3 years. I wish I had known about the ramp n clamp 15 years ago, what a lifesaver. Get one,you won't be sorry.
Great upgrades thanks for the info I have a 2013 and I'm ready to do it.. Thanks
You should try going on your belly it’s a lot harder
Where did you get some of the upgrades at? I was looking for that flip cap and i could not locate one
I got the fuller cap and extra grab bars at yamaha sports plaza.com out of Seattle. Misc hardware came from west marine and Home Depot. Everything else on line at Amazon or McMaster Carr.
That’s awsome
HELP! I put fogging oil in my two stroke ski cylinder cuz my friend told me that’s how you do it. Now it doesn’t start!
I have done most of what you stated when I was younger behind someone else’s boat. Now that I’m older and have a decent income I try to buy and use high quality gear in the safest yet still fun manner possible. Regardless of who I’m towing around they are considered precious cargo by me (and my insurer).
Hell,... that's riding a manufactured fake. If you've never had to make sure the air stem was pointing down, on a real tire inner tube, and the rope pulls the tube into a rounded triangle, coming up to speed and you are holding the rope and front of the tube out of the water, busting wakes in a turn at 80mph, you ain't never been tubin'! Getting launched into the surface of the water, having to remember to curl up in a ball so you don't get hurt thrashing and cartwheeling at 80 mph, you ain't been tubin'. Of course, when we were kids and teenagers, we didn't wear bicycle helmets or get "participation trophies".
I’d like to see a comparison to the newest competitors, the Drotto. It’s $100 more than these and I’m curious if they’ve improved on the idea enough to justify the extra money
Nice content. I enjoyed watching. Keep posting! New friend here.
I want ask about how you make the bluetooth connction with old streio because i have same boat
It took 30 to 40 minutes non stop in each direction.
Did you make this or did you have someone make it for you? Im looking for a Bimini for my 2011 AR210.
I had a friend make an extension and boot for the oem Bimini Top (which is grey in color) that my local marine upholsterer used as a template to create the black components in the video. My total cost out the door was about $1,500 or $500 per component here in Northern California and using the highest grade sunbrella material. You should be able to get it done for less if you build off of your oem Bimini top. If yours is grey the sunbrella equivalent is cadet grey.
Beautiful, Nostalgic. Life at its simplest and its best.
How did the boat’s engines run in the spring with all that fogging oil in the engine? A lot of smoke?
I don’t recall seeing any smoke at all on starting the engines the following spring but suspect they did smoke a little . I do not got fog anymore, just add marine stabil before the last use of the season to get it in the lines and engines
I like the clock idea!
You need sound deadening in your neighborhood. sheesh
Gold
Oh wow, that was horrible. What did I even just watch????
did it work ?
Thanks for the video! Good honest feedback, Ramp & Clamp should be paying a finder fee cause that's what I'm ordering now
I always put out fenders on the starboard side only. That way I can steer and position the boat next to the dock with a good view of the dock and boat. So I don't put out fenders on both sides.
John Donaldson My rationale for putting lines and fenders on both sides when boating alone is that it allows me to take either side
Ronnie-Did you use pipe insulation for the edges of the engine compartment that goes all the way around and if so, what kind of adhesive did you use to tack it down? Thanks....
Michael Coyner I initially used pipe insulation that was cut down the side and had adhesive preinstalled on one of the edges, so it was just peel and stick. Cheap too, like $3 per 6 foot section and my local hardware store, Home Depot. If you go this route don't use the thickest material you can find go one size lower to avoid putting too much pressure on the hatch hinge. Also keep in mind this stuff is hard to remove if you have to so take your time on the install. I eventually replaced mine with some better fitting and better looking flat foam with an adhesive backing that I purchased from McMaster Carr.
Ronnie-going to start this project this week. which flat foam did you get from McMaster for the edges? do you think its better than pipe insulation b/c I'm assuming its more expensive...thx bro.
Michael for the engine compartment hatch seal I started with insulated foam used to cover pipes which had been presplit and had glue on the split edges, i replaced that with 3/4" bulb seal with a self adhesive backing from McMaster Carr . I think I paid less than $10 for 20' of it but only needed 19' . All told I have two layers in the compartment, the first is 2" thick with a foil top to resist heat, also had a self adhesive back. I added 1" of eggcrate material over the first layer and used spray on glue (3m 90) to secure that in place.
Ronnie...I'll order the bulb seal from McMaster...I bought some acoustiblok for the engine hatch. Do you think I should double it up w/ another layer of eggcrate material in your opinion? Although I'm dont plan on doing the entire engine compartment like you (very impressive) have you found that your work has made a significant improvement in noise reduction? My concern is that just doing the engine hatch and the seal around it will not do all that much but I really dont want to do the whole thing like you did!!
Hi Ronnie...promise to stop harassing you after this...i looked for 3/4" flat bulb seal w/ self adhesive backing on McMaster Carr but could not locate it, do you by chance have the product number or can share the link you used to order it? Cheers. Mike p.s. i dont plan on putting 2nd layer of eggcrate for now. maybe after the season is over I'll reconsider...
2 funny
how do they work compared to having nothing
Don't be fooled, the PWCs were four years old when I got them and are ten years old now. I got the boat used as well.
No speed or rpm increase with these mods. The air filters are cleanable and reusable that is their main benefit. The manifold mod can supposedly increase rpm by a few hundred rpm but only if you are boating at altitude and not hitting the rev limit already. I boat at sea level so was already hitting the rev limit before putting in the intake mods, I just did so because theoretically they help the engines breath better even though the ecu doesn't allow the engines to take advantage of the improved air flow.
dang! you have 2 waverunners also!! Big Ballin Ronnie!
any improvements in speed with this mod
when you did the impeller did you replace the wear ring?
No, I didn't replace the wear ring, in Yamaha jet boats it is not a separate sacrificial plastic part. It's hardened steel and it's expensive. If the enclosure is that worn the alternative to replacing it is to supplement it with an after market plastic or stainless steel insert but an I,pllers should wear out long before the oem enclosure.
OK thanks. At your recommendation I did join the jet boat forum. Lots of info wealth. Thanks for the heads up
did you get better top end speed, better hole shot or both
I had them pitched for better acceleration at sea level, if I list any top end speed I didn't notice it.
cool! I have a 2015 AR190 & have been considering an impeller change for better performance and speed. What advantage of a custom pitch are there?
Pitch theory and practice are too much to tackle here. Consider joining jetboaters.net and searching the terms, solas impellers, custom impellers, etc. there is a member there that did extensive testing on his 192 who recommends staying stock but adding a lucky 13 cone instead to improve performance.
how do the the fins hold up to boat rocking close to shore or accidental bottom contact
The fins themselves are on a spring so they can be set to move up and out of the water when going over no wake speeds but always do so if they come in contact with the bottom. The fangs are stationary but shorter than the fins. Both are very strong so I wouldn't be concerned about damaging them by hitting bottom or something in the water.
what Solas impeller do you have and did you install yourself
Concord YS CD 13/19, custom pitched by Impros in Colton, CA. I installed the Solas but had a pwc shop remove the stock units because they were on their shafts very tight.
