Basically Hardness means resistance to penetration. It can be divided into 3 categories
1. Scratch test
2. Rebound tests
3. Indentation tests
Indentation tests includes macro hardness test & micro hardness tests
In macro hardness tests includes Brinell, Vickers & Rockwell hardness test
Micro hardness test includes knoop & Tukon
