    Sad truth is, Helen could have prevented herself from going with Paris. she chose it and could have prevented the war. She had all the opportunity and power to do so.

      @@MrUtopia There is no way Paris gets out of Sparta with Helen without her full approval. She had all the power and opportunity. It doesn't matter about Paris, Helen is the real villain.

    • @MrUtopia
      @MrUtopia 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You are right, Helen could have prevented the war. She totally lacks responsibility, if we assume she went to Troy willingly. However, we can't ignore the fact that Paris did take her to Troy, whether she did go willingly or unwillingly. He also should have been wiser, it is clear that such an action will provoke a war.

    • @metoo7557
      @metoo7557 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MrUtopia We know it WAS willingly, because all she had to do was scream or protest and the Queen's guards would have been in earshot. She is the most protected person in ALL Sparta next to the King. There is no way she gets out of Sparta without consent of Helen.

    • @MrUtopia
      @MrUtopia 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @metoo7557 I see your point. Even if she was so heavily protected, it was not impossible for Paris to take her against her will. However, I think the problem does not lie in the object of desire, but in the person desiring it. Paris should have controlled himself and not taken her, even if she wanted to go with him. He took her to Troy, she did not take herself there. It is possible that she manipulated him of course. What is really sad in the story is the suffering of so many others, caused by the impulsive or thoughtless act of just two people.

    If you to ta talk,give all the facts ,at least what was written. Hector ,when he killed patroclus, he took his armor,Achilles armor and leaves him naked for the soldiers .the 2 ajaxes fought for his body and at the end the managed to take it back. So what Achilles did was not disrespect but revenge.
