So after almost 40 years we get a fast golf r, vw created the hot hatch but what the hell were they thinking, they made the mark 2 golf gti slower than the mark 1 gti, they then bring us the vr6 2.8 then the r32 then make the r a 2 litre same as a gti, what ever next, no doubt the golf is s fast car but it's took them some years to get there, in 2003 volvo we're pumping out 300bhp engines and the golf r is at 310 bhp in 2021

How much power was your car making?

My mate just made 377bhp on his stage 2 cupra r. Exhaust, down pipe, induction kit and updated fuel pump with stage 2 r tech map. Few more shouldn’t be far off 400bhp
