Hallo Carlo ,dat is heel lang geleden dat ik je gesproken hebt ,je had een optreden hier in Enschede-Cafe de Kater ,met zangeresjes (denk 30 jaar geleden? De Hammond sound is nog steeds mijn sound.je speelde geweldig. Waarom proberen elke Keyboard fabrikant ,nog steeds de Hammondsound in hun instrumenten te plaatsten,,omdat je er eenmaal verliefd op ben geworden,en dat blijft toch . Ik ben nu 73 jaar ,,maar nog steeds /Hammond liefhebber . Gr,Johny Frijsteen/Enschede ,,heb nog een singlevan jou!

Heel interessant. Qua opbouw vd docu vond ik met name het eerste deel wel te veel één groot interview maar dat is persoonlijk. Hoe dan ook is die Dream Machine wel een fascinerend concept.

I first happened across Carlo de Wijs in 1997 (I think) in an open square in Utrecht. I had just arrived in the Netherlands that day and had gone out for a walk after dinner. He and his band/singers were playing "Tables are Turned". I almost had to pinch myself to see if I had not died and gone to heaven. What a talent and such humility! I was transformed by that concert and it set something in motion where I eventually moved to the Netherlands. I got up today (in Haarlem) and played "Tables are Turned" for my wife. She was spellbound and I just cried. I told her the story of when I first found him and his music. It's so good to see what he is doing now. I'm an eternal fan. Bravo, Carlo.

Thanks for your reaction. You're right, I still have to produce some new videos. First, I have to finish my PhD (about the history and future of Hammond organ), but al lot is coming for 2022.

Kom hier vanwege een artikel heden in de Telegraaf, vanwege het feit dat ik liefhebber ben van het Hammond orgel, en dan speciaal de B3. Nu weet ik mij te herinneren dat een oud bekende van lange tijd geleden ook zo'n orgel bespeelde als hobby. En dan lees ik: Beamsystems A'dam???? Is dit dHr J.Behts?

@@carlodewijsofficial Beste Carlo, ben er inmiddels achter Beamsystems was vroeger een bedrijf in Leerdam wat flitsapperatuur maakte voor de vakfotografie, den naam Beam was samengesteld uit de achternaam van eigenaar dhr. (Johan) Behts en de plaats waar hij vandaan kwam Amsterdam. Het hedendaagse bedrijf Beamsystems heeft niets van doen daarmee.met datgene wat ik vermeldde. Het toeval wilde dat die heer Beths ook een Hammond B3 orgel had en er ook op speelde. Ik werd dus misleid door de naam Beamsystems, maar het is recht gezet door Jozef Hey, de huidige eigenaar.
