I've never tried Dear Polly but it sounds intriguing.

L'Eau Papier was the spark to begin my niche fragrance journey in the first place. It is just so good and evoking! Sadly it doesn't mix well with my skin (love it on paper!). But I might just give it another try after some time.

I like how you describe the scents associated with personalities. I love Armani Si EDP! I decluttered Angel Nova EDP, too sharp on me, I have the EDT and prefer it much better! Stay calm..🍵😘

Love Finnish nature, or generally Nordic weather, my mother is Finnish so I have visited it a lot while living in Sweden. I live now in Cyprus and the closest I get to something like it is when hiking or camping in the Troodos mountains. We also did our summer holidays in our current home country, which is fine sometimes. I tried the Corsica furiosa and agree with your impressions. Good luck settling in your new house and all that it entails.

Oh man, I completely agree with you on those vilhelm bottles taking up too much space, but the house has some really great and unique offerings that are worth exploring! On the plus side, they *do* make 20ml's which look very nice while respecting your shelf space. I personally find it's a good way to collect from this house too since the 50ml's are pricey.

Interesting point of view. I actually own 3 extraits from Baruti and bought 3 sample kits "extrait" in the past (they are indeed challenging fragrances and I couldn't make my mind.) I have never tried the EDP and they may be slightly different considering your experience. I love Onder de Linde and to me it is full on honey, chai, Dama Koupa, Indigo, perverso, etc... On the other hand, the one I can't stand is Berlin in Winter, more than pipi, I experienced Cat pee smell, like you I couldn't understand the appeal. I haven't tried yet the new releases such as Oh my Deer and the latest...

Hi Ekaterina! I really enjoyed this video, I know it's been a few months but I have some recommendations for you for some of the categories that you have mentioned. For sauna scent I would recommend Daddy from Universal Flowering but even better than that one is called Summer Sauna from the same brand but that one is discontinued, however Daddy is very similar. Hinoki Shower from BTSO have a sauna vibe to it too. When you painted the picture of the stone I thought about Floating Forest from Future Society but for sandy beach feel Nothing but Sea and Sky from Une Nuit Nomade could be nice. Also not very beachy but feels like a wet stone to me is Ganymede from Marc-Antoine Barrois.

I love your descriptions! I've sampled Okavango and I have a bottle of Poeme de Sagano - interesting that you find it so soapy! I hate soapy perfumes and Sagano is not at all soapy on me, it's a dewy, grassy citrus. I find it a very calming and meditative scent. I will have to get a sample of Camelia K too, you make it sound so delicious!

Very nice and relaxing! Has Finnish style always been minimalistic/Nordic or is it bc most homes are newer? The states went through a period of Victorian, colonial, craftsman etc styles so many towns/cities have a variety of older styles. And your cat is adorable!!

I discovered Linda landenberg about 4. Years ago. I bought all 4 in her LL line and also the Dimma by Maria nils dotter. I think I only got the bisous to round out the collection- I too am not a big Ylang Ylang fan, Hmm, that you describe them as Nordic- yes of course she is from Sweden but her DNA doesn’t strike me as very Nordic (granted I’ve only ever been to Iceland and Copenhagen so I am not a great judge of what that necessarily means). I would agree about liking lavender and wool and Peche and suede the most- what they have in common is the particularly strong tactile feel to them. As you describe, You feel the hair on the peach and the scratchy wool on your skin.

Lately I also have this feeling that I prefer to choose scents that are simple, but with great quality ingredients. And I think this is generally a bit of a trend in perfumery lately. Aurelien Guichard, the creator of Matiere Premiere, said that many people he knows have given up using scents altogether, because the compositions can be overwhelming, too complicated and he stated that he wants to create scents that people understand, that they understand and can name what they smell like. I think many people can relate to this P.s. Please, if you find time, make a vlog from your new home. I am in the process of renovating a new house and I am waiting to move in, so your thoughts on the subject of interiors, the eye of an architect will be great! Thanks!

I was just thinking about you the other day and hoping that a new video would come soon and here you are! Congratulations on you new home! Interesting video as always. I'm curious about Linda Landenberg's fragrances, but never had the chance of testing them myself! So to hear your take on them is really helpful. Having grown up in Sweden, I am never searching for the "Nordicness" in my fragrances, rather the opposite. I want to escape it by diving into scents with totally different associations. But these fragrances sound complex enough to be intriguing nonetheless!
