An absolute tragedy, and scandal, that this beautiful historic rose garden into which so many poured so much love, time and care, and from which so many derived pleasure, has (as I understand it) been all but destroyed by local bureaucrats. A devastating loss of an asset that should have been preserved, along with its many rare and historic roses, for the people of Sacramento and rose lovers from far and wide to come and visit, for present and future generations. most of what you see was ripped out by the city. as well as the other plantings. it barren and weeed ridden as of June 2021

why so roses are really difficult to root from cuttings? I mean, some Gallicas are very difficult, Banksiae... souvenir de mme leonie viennot..I was never able to root them from cuttings.

This is beautiful in so many, many ways.

the muumuu style here didnt really become popular i think until sometime in the 60s..but i do think Hawaiian muumuus was the influenence for the straight loose cut style that so many women today.espcially heavier women wear as a leasure fitting dress just to relax in.or even wear out. but i do like them because i am h eavier and they are a better fit and hide all the imperfections in the figure;l

I think that, actually, they mostly feel that they are being of service to those that are buried in the cemetery, and they feel some comfort from thinking that someone may take care over whatever place they may end up also. The feelings of melancholy and love are definitely both present for volunteers, though. This is discussed further in the full-lenght documentary. Not sure where you are located, or if you are interested, but there may be a screening in late April in Sacramento.

What a beautiful video...although this may sound like an abhorrent question too ask...how to old ppl feel about volunteering their time working in a cemetary...when they are close or near too being in one??
